Alot of former cardinal players for some reason have been screwed just like Deng in the NBA . Not given a real chance to succeed I heard a Russ interview speak on this very issue he said it's politics . Gaines was another player that was screwed you get drafted by the wrong team they go out and pick up free agents on the cheap draft and sign you at a certain salary however based on your contract and years your too expensive for another team to sign you . Then your out the league based on lack of opportunity and salary cap crap.

it's interesting, he was actually screwed last year and barely played until they changed coaches. mussleman then played gorgui at the end of the season and it looked like he was doing good. but i guess over the summer better players squeezed him out. my thought would be simply that in a faster paced game he's a tad slow running the court.

and i wouldn;t say still being in the nba is getting screwed. guaranteed contracts. nuff said. if he gets cut he still gets paid. nice.

as for russ, he's not an nba player, never was and never would be. it's as simple as that. just because you can score doesn't mean you are an nba'er. plus russ will get paid forever playing in china.

turns out since KAT has been injured Gorgi is going to make some future money also. but i watch Dan Patrick in the mornings and this came across the bottom ticker

here's the link to his stats. he had 12 points last night but a +19 +/- and has been averaging 15 points a game

Gourgi has done fine for a post player in an era where they’re trying to do away with traditional bigs. He plays big minutes for an NBA team, and that means he’s one of the best in the world.
