ADs know that the SEC schedule UK had last year was a sham.Good points. I also think the fact that Stoops didn't get a better job during the off-season says a lot about how AD's see him.

And again, we try to belittle what they did for no reason. The same thing they did to our Big East years.ADs know that the SEC schedule UK had last year was a sham.

10 wins in a power conference is 10 wins. They played multiple ranked teams and beat a few. It was a good year. If it was an anomaly year, we’ll see down the road. But winning 10 games at a program like Kentucky and on their way to a 4th straight bowl game this year, not bad. Not hall of fame, but not bad.
If he did that at say Kansas or Duke? We’d respect him more. I mean David Cutcliffe has been about the same at Duke playing in a very weak division, but he’s held in higher regard just because he’s not coaching our rival.
I thought people cared about logical discussion on this board, my mistake.Nobody gives two sh!ts about David Cutcliffe on this board.

Anyone that's played a minute of football understands that the QB is a very critical position that will make or break your season. Smith is their backup and everything I've read leads me to believe he isn't 100% so they don't want to risk it. Yea, you have 85 scholarships and 20 walk ons, but most teams are only going to have 2 QB's that are fully capable to run an offense for a full season. By the time you get to that 3rd guy in line chances are he's not in the least bit ready to run things, if he exists at all. They lost their number 1 and 2 guys. I don't care how deep you are, it's very difficult for a team to overcome the loss of their #1 much less both their #1 and #2 QB's.
Also, many of us who have played or worked in physically demanding sports or jobs know that being able to go out an run one play does not equate ready to play a full game. Yea, Smith ran a sneak, that doesn't mean he's ready to go a full 4 quarters. But, you'd have to have played and have coached the game to actually understand that.
Morris also got a bucket of Gatorade dumped on him just before LSU ruined their celebration. A true SEC Classic ending for the Kitties.I just think it's telling that no one tried to scoop him up during the off-season. 7 wins at UK got Guy Morriss out of jail.
I doubt there's any one reason, but I suspect AD's look at Stoops the same way I do... "Meh, okay but not for MY team."
Ya'll need to FARRR that thar sonofabeyitch
Let us know when he beats a team with a pulse. Missouri, Vandy, Arkansas and not 1 but 2 MAC teams. Add in Tenn. Martin. It would be damn hard not to make a bowl with that schedule.Oddly enough, for all his coaching faults (dont get me going) Mark Stoops has likely done his best coaching job this year. He knew he was losing a fine class, but then his DC took a pro job then he lost two more defensive backs to injury and loses two quarterbacks to transfer and two to injury.
Looks like hes going bowling. Pretty good job.

If they do it will be their best win all year. You'll learn in two weeks when the Cats beat the Cards.
Lol...ya got me.Trying to boost your confidence there, brother bill?
That's the best way to end the year. Save the best win for last.If they do it will be their best win all year.
Lol...ya got me.
In all honesty, I don't think your defense is good enough for the UK ground game, and I THINK the Cats defense can hold down that high scoring offense the Cards have...mainly by using a ball control offense when the Cats have it.
I'm sold on neither teams kicker.
I believe for a change the Cats win in a nail biter.
Both teams end the year at 7-5.
Lol....Kentucky fan since 74. I've seen enough miracle losses to stop the hearts of the city of Louisville. One more won't do it.Advice here...don't get to excited if you are winning in the 1st & 2nd quarter. We are a different team in the 2nd half. Wouldn't want you to have a coronary.![]()

This may not go over well on here but I don’t think either team can feel confident going into this game. Both teams have had bad losses, I do think UofL has better wins, but our defensive letdowns worry me. Uk does run the ball well, but they really don’t throw well which makes them very one dimensional. I still have no idea what will happen. I look for a close game to the end.

Well we are a 3rd quarter team for sure. The 4th quarter has given me a coronary all season, especially the Wake, BC, and UVA games!Advice here...don't get to excited if you are winning in the 1st & 2nd quarter. We are a different team in the 2nd half. Wouldn't want you to have a coronary.![]()
