Because they will let you play QB too.Stoops is the worse and most overpaid coach ever. I can’t stop laughing. Why would any decent receiver want to play at that junkyard.
Absolutely!!!!Guys stop it, Stoops is the best, hopefully UK will realize the truth and hurry up and sign him to a lifetime contract!
I can understand losing but how do only score 13 points with 300 yards rushing while holding the ball for 41 1/2 minutes. How do you lose a game when you rush for over 300 yards? I wonder if they're the first team in history to accomplish that feat.
Priceless!Chris from Richmond

Why do people on this board so often write “worse” when they mean “worst”. It happens over and over.
Both words draw comparisons. “Worse” compares one event or observation with another. “Worst” compares one event or observations with many others.

Stoops has done a good job there. I don’t care what you say, to win 10 games at that graveyard of a program you have to be a miracle worker and they played a pretty decent schedule too. I know the popular thing here is to poo poo everything UK and their mother, but he’s built them a solid foundation of good line play.
But I do get confounded with some of his late game decision making against bigger opponents. It’s similar to Harbaugh, he has good talent but they just choke against the big name rivals. The name on the jersey scares them and tightens them up.
I’ll give them a big of a pass as they really aren’t playing a QB. It would be like if we were playing Tutu at QB, but still to have the ball twice like they did last night is amazing how they don’t score.
The Governor’s Cup 2019 will be the battle of no offense versus no defense. Whoever wants to give it away more. But like always, we will be their Super Bowl. Other than 2017, they always play their best effort against us and give us a really tough game. Even in 2013 against Teddy and they were 2-10, they still kept it closer than I liked.
I mean I’d respond and I love the energy of a typical Card fan and I do hate UK, but that isn’t a depth excuse. No he hasnt.
SEC teams are supposed to be 2 deep.
StoopID thought he could use a WR as QB forever.
They better beat candy umm vandy, otherwise theyre coming into the UofL game 5-6.
The Cards will avenge last year and keep them from gping to a bowl.

And I don’t count any game as a win. I think that if they continue to struggle to score, year we win by 10. But our defense has shown to give up points to anyone and everyone. They also do have a bigger, strong, and deeper set of lineman than ours. They will push us around and gain yards, but can we keep them out of the end zone? That’ll be how the game is decided. It will also be a road big road crowd too, the biggest crowd we will face all year. I think it’s a 50/50 game for sure, just after yesterday I don’t think either team can guarantee a win.
But let’s be clear, they have 2 QB’s out for the year and the other backup is hurt too. Hate for the blue necks aside, I doubt we could survive is Jawon and Malik were both down for the year and Conley had a bad shoulder and couldn’t really play.
i guess you haven;t watched them play much and are just judging them based on a loss.Stoops is the worse and most overpaid coach ever. I can’t stop laughing. Why would any decent receiver want to play at that junkyard.

i completely disagree. he kicked our butts the last two years. and he's playing a wide receiver as their third string qb. their defense has stopped everyone this year. they don't give up any points to anyone. and if they had their first string qb they'd probably only have one loss and be a top 15 team. they have a good chance of beating us so i wouldn't mock their coach because you may be eating crow at the end of the season.
again they are playing their third string qb who was a wide receiver. you think we'd have five wins if conley started every single game? nope. the reality is uk is a better team at the moment, they just lack a qb.

Stoops or Kragthorpe? It’s all relative. This is one of those arguments where everyone will have good points but it's all relative. For me, the key question is whether I'd personally want Stoops as my team's coach. The answer is no.
He hasn't kicked our butts the last two years, unless you're talking recruiting Louisville kids. Only once, that was last year with our patched up coaching staff and demoralized team. The year before we didn't punt, scored on every possession, except the last one. Charlie Strong 3-1 against UK Bobby Petrino 2.0/interim coach 2-2. We're down but not that far from from UK. Bobby's loss was a fumble in the red zone that led to a game winning field goal.i guess you haven;t watched them play much and are just judging them based on a loss.

You are right, we’ve won 6 of the last 8 and we are in control. They’ve won 2 of 3, but this year would make it 3 of 4 for them so Scott needs to make sure we are ready. He hasn't kicked our butts the last two years, unless you're talking recruiting Louisville kids. Injuries are a part of the game. Its why you have 85 scholarships and 20 walkons.
You develop depth in case your starters go down. Their true QB has been healthy for 3 weeks. So you take your best WR to play QB ?
Anyone that's played a minute of football understands that the QB is a very critical position that will make or break your season. Smith is their backup and everything I've read leads me to believe he isn't 100% so they don't want to risk it. Yea, you have 85 scholarships and 20 walk ons, but most teams are only going to have 2 QB's that are fully capable to run an offense for a full season. By the time you get to that 3rd guy in line chances are he's not in the least bit ready to run things, if he exists at all. They lost their number 1 and 2 guys. I don't care how deep you are, it's very difficult for a team to overcome the loss of their #1 much less both their #1 and #2 QB's.
Also, many of us who have played or worked in physically demanding sports or jobs know that being able to go out an run one play does not equate ready to play a full game. Yea, Smith ran a sneak, that doesn't mean he's ready to go a full 4 quarters. But, you'd have to have played and have coached the game to actually understand that.
Not reading all of this garbage.
Did OSU make any excuses when they got down to their 3rd string QB ?
Nope they just beat Bama and Oregon and won the Title.
A high school QB could have completed the throw that was picked.
Keep making excuses for crappy coaching for a ' SEC' school, grover.
I don’t think Stoops is a coaching giant, but he’s a good coach and probably as good as they can hope.
But similar to UK fans when we play, some of our fans watch their games and research their games/opponents and keep a running tally of talking points as to every single flaw they have and why they aren’t good. And why every win was lucky or the refs cheated for them. And how we will beat them bad and if we do lose it’s because we were the Super Bowl. Both sides do that and I dont like it, it’s not good for discussion.
Stoops or Kragthorpe? It’s all relative.
On the one hand I’m amazed he was able to win 10 games at UK. On the other hand the SEC East has been historically bad the past few seasons and he moderately capitalized on that. UF is getting back to their normal self and you’d assume that Tenn and USCjr will at some point as well.
