Agreed. Loved the defense and rebounding on both ends. I hope the team continues with the aggressive style (battling for every loose ball) when Mack comes back. Coach Pegues has instilled the bull dog mentality that has been missing for some time.

It serves as an example that, if I work hard, and I really do the little things right, I can do this job. I can be a head coach. I wasn’t always sure of that before this opportunity.
Everybody’s helped pick me up, and certainly reassured me, and given me the confidence that I can do this job somewhere.
This personal quote sums up alot of what we seen with this teams play somewhat. You have a first time person in a stress cooker HC position. He was very unsure of himself and it rubbed off on the players . This is why having your HC is so important can't wait too see what Mack does with these guys now.

It was fun to watch when Maryland went into a zone and the team struggled he pulled 5 players out and substituted them with 5 players that could bust the zone. I had to chuckle at that and to me it was impressive that the coach did it and that the players responded.
Getting closer to my suggestion that UL could employ the “platoon system” for the first time in my memory. This roster is unique in that beyond having 11 or 12 capable of contributing, this roster has the right combination of individual players to fit all 5 positions on the floor interchangeably.
