Prior to the Powell fiasco this program was on the fast track. Every since it seems the black cloud will not go away.First year in ACC conference tourney we were 1 and done . Heartbreaking ending in the NCAA tourney. 2nd year the band so we didnt' get to enjoy any post seson. So this year ACC tourney one and done get what appeared to a favorable NCAA draw couldn't make it out of first weekened. Just very dissapointing for the players and our fans we waited so long to enjoy a decent return and run this tourney only to be let down. And the start of next season especially if Rick gets suspension days which look to be the case. All we gonna hear is about Rick getting punished. The season will start with a black cloud also. Although it will be the end of the crap. Can we please get back to continuity and happiness. All that makes this March even more unbearable too watch in which i'm not anymore.

Is it the concensus that the situation is over with no further punishment? I haven't heard or read anything in some time about the whole situation and one would think no news is good news?

Punishment or decision by the Ncaa has yet to be given however it's expected sometime this summer or so.

My prediction is that U of L will fight any additional penalties.

And a little better use of the English language may have helped the OP make his points, not that I would agree with many of them...

Why fight anymore just too keep it going on and on.

Because we took more medicine than we should have and did it voluntarily, with little fight. Enough is enough.

Not that it's a real possibility, but you gonna fight if they wanna take down your 2013 banner??

Banner was never coming down NCAA hasn't done it before. And in my opinion what happened and self imposed ban is not more medicine than we should've taken. Sex under age recruits etc. Not a good look. But everyone is entitled to their own op. let's just pray anything extra is very minor imposed on us.

I wouldn't include the 2014-2015 NCAAT in there. That team made the Elite 8 and very nearly a Final Four. Before the tourney started almost no one had them even going that far and certainly not within a hair of the Final Four.

And there's conclusive proof of none of that. You simply fell on your sword. Or more accurately, your ex-Prez did in a futile attempt to look presidential.

So, I can conclude that you'll fight for some things and not others...

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The NCAA enforcement staff has responded to the University of Louisville's reply to allegations against it surrounding the sex-for-recruits scandal within its men's basketball program.

From the 118-page redacted NCAA response released on Thursday, the four major takeaways:

-- The NCAA has roundly rejected arguments U of L made in its defense involving strippers and prostitutes being provided for recruits at the men's basketball dorm

Then, you're gonna have a fight by U of L on Pitino's behalf which I completely endorse.

When the NCAA shows its stupidity--again--that just reinforces their image in my mind. And that they're oblivious to how much they're living on borrowed time...
