Think Nwora got the message? We're about to find out. Down 4 with 50 seconds to go and again, this would be a really bad loss. No excuses.
It was. Terrible loss. Hope that's the wake up call this team needed.
This is a BAD loss. It moves us back on the seeding order, harder draw and possibly further from home.
As I’ve said, this team can’t afford Jordan Nwora to have a bad game. When he’s not scoring, there’s nothing special about the team other than just a lot of depth.
But when Nwora is clicking, the depth becomes key pieces.
Some will blame Mack, but I still say it’s personnel.

I thought Mack coached a good game the players just didn’t execute. We missed shots we don’t normally miss. The only mistake at the end was not telling Johnson to not foul. They should of had someone else foul so Johnson could drive the lane again.
It was just a bad game, it happens and there are plenty of examples this year.

Yeah, but this team’s “sleepwalking” habit puts more importance on a good seed. And the ACC only has 3 guaranteed tournament teams including us and we only have 1 left on the schedule.
This is one of those losses that we’ll think about on selection Sunday.

Darius Perry, 1 assist and 1 turnover
Fresh Kimble, 2 assists and 2 turnovers
David Johnson, 2 assists and 4 turnovers
We don’t have a true point guard. When the game gets slow, we can’t operate in the half court. When the 3’s are falling, it doesn’t matter but when we need to make a play we look lost.
Jordan can’t really create like a guard. Jordan is looking like the wing scorer to complement him. But we just look lost in the last 5 minutes of games, no one wants to step up.

And the type of guys we have. I don’t see a dog mentality out there right now. Like a Trezl just bringing energy. Russ having a Mamba mentality. Even a Siva type of leadership.
Good thing this is probably the worst year of CBB I’ve ever seen. We still have as good a shot as anyone to win a title.
I'm proud of you guys. GT took it to the Cards and Louisville never stepped up, and we're discussing that instead of whining about referees like a bunch of bitches. Kudos!
It’s like complaining about the green monster at Fenway or the altitude in Denver for Baseball games.
Refs are bad and you gotta price that into the game ahead of time, it’s something you have to adapt to playing around. Especially against a team that plays maybe 6-7 players and shoots terrible from the line like GT, we could afford to give up some fouls to them and still be fine.
I’m not giving these refs a pass on their performance. We had a couple of no shows that I’m also not giving a pass to. It’s not one or the other. Why only focus on one aspect of the game?
Because you only worry about what you can control. Refs are humans. Going to make mistakes. Players too make mistakes but you hope they learn from it. Now effort you can control. If you’re not putting out the effort, you sit next to the team manager. Effort is not the issue although we think it is. It’s more about execution and getting it done.
I hope you know I’m talking from a coaches perspective. You had better believe the coach controls the players or you end up with strippers or last year’s football team.
The point is. You can complain about anything that erks you. To say you can’t complain about the officiating is ridiculous. Some people around here try to be the thought police.
