This is also my understanding. I've already made sure I have the Stadium app. available through my Roku streaming.

CUSA owns the rights. Why would they not want the game on tv?

Excellent question. I believe they could sell enough advertising to make it worth their while.

On 93.9 they said it will be on ESPN2 or a CBS network.

I used my iPad and went to the UofL sports official website. I chose the football schedule and tapped on the word “watch”. The watch stadium website opened from there.

I searched through their schedule and found the game scheduled for Saturday.

Thanks for the tip. If it isn’t on TV, I will be able to watch this one, unlike last weekend. I have Dish Network, and could not stream ACCNx.

You can do a free trial of sling tv. They have the stadium channel. I ready signed up today and checked ahead and shows the game on there for Saturday.

Yep, love SlingTV. After 19 years, I dropped DirecTV a month ago and am now paying $25/month for the "Orange" package plus $5/month for the cloud DVR, and I'm watching pretty much the same channels that I did before with DirecTV. Stadium is on there.

(I should also say that I have a 7 year old and a 10 year who are both very active in sports, which means I am out every night until nearly bedtime and the weekends are full - so I don't watch hardly any TV and watch most Louisville, Reds, and Bengals games on DVR)

There is also a completely free app called Pluto which I believe also includes Stadium TV.

I like the layout and channels of sling so far. I currently use Youtube TV and it's been buffering a lot as of late. I would switch to sling but my wife DVR's a lot of shows on the local channels. If there's a workaround to that I'd definitely switch. I know you need to get an antenna to watch them regularly.

So did you keep your Wifi and Internet through AT&T and get higher speed in order to stream? If so what are you paying for this service from At&T today vs before?

I'm taking notes and trying to learn. Even my 18 yr old g-son that's moved in with us is talking about us cutting the cord.

My internet is through Comcast/Xfinity. So I am paying $50/month for 100MBPS speed for internet and $25/month to Sling for "Orange" package plus $5/month for Sling cloud DVR. $80 total for all of it.

If you bundle TV/cell/internet, you may be better off staying with whatever bundled package you have. We don't do that for various reasons.

Can you get most of the NFL games. My main reason for keeping Directv is for the NFL ticket, so I can watch the Steelers. If I can find another way to do that I’m leaving Directv. It’s getting to be outrageous when it comes to cost.

Thank you. Yes we do bundle everything with AT&T. We have one Smart Tv and g-son was showing me some stuff on it yesterday. I remember seeing Pluto option. We were looking around for Stadium.I thought ACCN was going to be all the answers for watching all UofL sports. Traveling to Nashville for this game, but I've got some sports options work to do.

Co worker mentioned an app called Pluto. He said he tried it and the channel that list the WKU - Ville game was there. I believe this is for Xfinity subscribers.

As far as I know, Pluto is free to anyone willing to download the app. I have it on my phone, my son's Xbox, and my Firestick.

Without any regard to sports, there is a lot of cool stuff on there, including a lot of on demand TV shows and movies. The entire A-Team series from the 80's (something I loved as an 8 year old kid) is on there, for an example. Tons of stuff, all free, but there are commercials which is how they make money.

Whenever ATT goes up, my wife calls to cancel and it doesn’t go up.

But she is the haggler from hell. :p

I did this for 19 years whenever my DirecTV discounts expired, but this year they didn't even try. The "Customer Retention Dept" which no longer exists was who you talked to when you were on your last leg and threatening to cancel. It took longer than buying a car, but you'd eventually get your discounts. I called on 3 separate occasions this summer and that department no longer exists, and beyond "How about free HBO? how about a $25 one-time credit?" they would never budge.

My guess is they see the writing on the wall regarding streaming, want to get out of the cable/satellite TV business, and push everyone into DirecTV Now streaming service while letting everyone pay $180/month or whatever for DirecTV b/c most are used to paying that and don't even look at their bill.

That’s odd I just talked to someone in that department (Just last week) and was given a 6 month discount. I was told to call back in 7 mos to get it again

They referred to themselves as "Customer Retention"? That is strange, b/c all 3 times I called they said that department doesn't exist anymore, and all they offered me were those "first line" discounts like free HBO for 3 months, or a one-time $25 discount. On the third call instead of saying I'll call back a fourth time I said I want to cancel and they simply said ok your boxes will be there next week. Unbelievable after 19 years.

I was told just recently from the guy at AT&T store to talk to "Customer Loyalty" only dept. He emphasized with me make sure to get to that Customer Loyalty folks only.
I'm about to get into the discussion myself.

AT&T Head games....

That rang a bell with me.

That’s who my wife calls. Customer Loyalty

I’ve been going back and forth between DISH and DirecTV every 2 years for many years, to get the “new customer” rates. It always boggles my mind that they won’t give you new customer rates to stay, but will send you new customer rates offers as soon as you cancel.

Geezumus F'n F! I'm sick and tired of this streaming who has a new app crap. I'm just going to listen to Paul. I've had it with this $hit! Hell my kids don't even expect or care to worry if our games are on tv anymore. I could bitch for days. weeks, and I will. F it!

That’s my dilemma too. I keep Directv and it’s ridiculous cost so I keep the NFL Sunday Ticket to watch my Browns lose every week.

Pretty sure Directv has exclusive rights to the Sunday Ticket.

I think we’re talking about 2 different things with the ‘NFLPackage’ and the ‘NFL Sunday Ticket’. At least I think so.

With the Sunday Ticket you get to watch every Sunday NFL game in its entirety on 13 different channels. If that’s available elsewhere let us know but I’m pretty sure Directv has exclusive rights to it.

They do I’ve started looking into trying to stream a Pittsburgh local channel. I need to find out from my relatives whether it’s even on local tv.

On Amazon Prime Fire TV, I searched for the Stadium app and it loaded right up and played. Not sure if this is the same app that everyone is talking about but if it is, I'll be watching the game tomorrow. I guess time will tell.
