Regardless the outcome now, good game by Levitch and Hicks stepping up as well as Mango. Off day by Mitchell. We didn't quit.
Playing 8 on 5 on the road against a top ten team without your second best player & your best player way off his game. Good effort, but the end game situations have to be cleaned up for later in the season. Lots of dumb mistakes compounded all of the other factors going against them.
I'm sorry, but the officiating was so bad in this game, especially in the 2nd half...we get beat up, no call. But we get whistles for soft ticky-tack fouls. Very one-sided today.
Did anyone notice when Pitino motion to Hicks "one more time, you're done today" near the end with a few minutes to go, when he had just gotten blocked?
The scoring had to come from somewhere today, although Hicks didn't convert a bunch of layups and didn't create for others enough.
Hicks played hard but his shot selection was brutal. 6-17 and he continued to try to score over trees.
We have the reputation of being a great defensive and shot-blocking team, which we are...yet we gets no respect for it. The better team did not win.
Okay. We lost but I am not that impressed with FSU. Their bigs (other than Isaac - the 6-10 guy) are awkward and have no offensive skills whatsoever. If we don't get in foul trouble, I think we win that game easy OR if Snider is playing, we win that game easy. Lousy game by Mitchell. Aggravating all around.

I wish pitino was that hard core with adel. Adel can do anything he wants. Defend if he wants. Whatever. Pitino says nothing.
Hicks played ok today and they needed his scoring, but he shot hunted about 5 of his attempts. Shot selection and decision making are two big concerns with Hicks.
He played good, he did miss too many layups...but he was scoring so well that I think he forgot to dish to teammates, too. Donovan did this today, also...there were open guys for dunks on two of his drives early on where he tried scoop shot that missed. Plus, we missed too many FTs today, also.
I hope we never have to listen to another game with whatshisface. God, he doesn't shut up..
