FSU Game Thread

FSU is definitely better than they have been the past few years. Cards have shown tons of effort but the DB's are just not physical enough. The tall receiver from FSU is taking advantage.

Looks like one of those who has the ball last games.

The defense is what it is until we bring in the recruits but the reason for losses like this is the wasted opportunities on offense. Cards should have at least scored 48 points in this game and all it would have taken is not giving away offensive drives whether its turnovers or bad play calling.

Satterfield now 0-6 in games decided by less than a TD.

Pretty amazing stat.

For whatever reason there's a cloud over Cards football since the debacle in Petrino's last season. It's not just the coaches or the players, the team just rarely gets the breaks in the close games. It just continues every season. We just can't seem to get over the hump.

How come we get all these retards on our board we must be in their heads if they come here and post. FSU was not the better team this game it should have been 35-14 halftime but we did ourselves in. Penalties and fumbles cost us this game if not for that we would have won. I give FSU credit for toughening up and winning but they never capitalized on our mistakes in the 1st half. The Achilles heal to our team is pass defense and I am afraid we can’t fix that this year.

All the penalties indicate a undisciplined team. Not looking good for rest of schedule.

I’m cool if we fire coach. No matter how much talent we bring in, he can’t coach. The ONLY reason he isn’t fired RIGHT NOW is because of his recruiting class in 2023, which is due to Clarkson NOT HIM. He’s not a legit D1 power 5 coach, never will be

It was a nail biter....

Both teams left points on the field...

...FSU missed two chip shot FG's, had a couple of interceptions. had some untimely penalties.

...A couple of short 3rd down conversions by the Cards could have continued drives.

1...FSU persevered through the first half losses of their QB and other key starters.

2...The inability to cover the tall WR was the game difference.

3...Too many drops on the crossing routes, not enough separation.

When you have a QB who can run like Cunningham...any game can/should be a win. This game was as close as they come...a play here and there was the difference.

Cards have lost their depth. You got some good players and they play hard, but the depth isnt there yet.

The playcalling just seems questionable.

In regards to play calling we had some things that were working and then in the 3rd quarter we quit doing them. Then in the 4th quarter we started doing them again. It’s almost like we once get a lead in the 2nd half we are no longer playing to win we are playing not to lose.
