Coolest name in transfer portal so far ...

Kamden Sixkiller. McNeese State.

Not an endorsement. No inside info on him at all. No idea what his stats are. Or the style he plays.

Just dig the name.

BTW ... Virginia's Sophomore QB Anthony Colandrea has hit the portal. Over 4,000 yards. 23 TDs, 20 INT's. He gave us some trouble. I wonder where he'll wind up. Interestingly, UK was one of his offers coming out of high school.

Sonny Sixkiller was an excellent QB for Washington in the early 70's.

I’d say keep an eye on that UNLV QB who bailed because of NIL earlier this season. He’s a baller. Brohm likes his guys older, though, to lead the O.

Uva guy won't come here, not a fit. It will be very interesting to see what QBs are here after the spring portal window. Pierce, Brady, and Deuce set to return with the Mims kid coming.

What's everyone's thoughts on Arkansas State's Jaylen Raynor? If he hits the portal he'll be one of the best dual threats in the portal.

Brohm ain’t a dual threat QB guy. Slightly mobile pocket passers are his thing.

Any relation to former Washington Huskie Qb Sonny Sixkiller?

CardsDan brought him up too ... I mean, with a name like Sixkiller, they GOTTA be related, right?

I don't know.

But now I am knee deep in google on this kid.

6'4", 203 pounds .... 53% completion, on 180 attempts. 3 TDs, 6 (killer) INTs.
Parents are Darin and Amy, older brother Kalen. In high school he was National Honor Society. Impressive.

Sonny Sixkiller, was a castmate on the 1974 movie Longest Yard. He has a Wikipedia page, which says Sonny is 73. Sonny has 3 sons, Casey, Jesse and Tyson.

It doesn't look like there's a connection.

Jeff got an “eye-full” of dual threat QBs this year; Miami, SMU, BC and GT were some of the more effective. It is true that Brohm has a long history of success with pocket QB, but the same was said of Petrino before Lamar arrived.

I expect that Jeff will be open to any transfer candidate that fits the dual threat qualification, as long as they are able to meet his passing expectations.

I would be careful on duel threat QB’s. What you want is someone that can operate in a congested space and still make throws. Tyler was great in the pocket. My only issue with him is he refused to run with conviction. When he did he extended drives but he did it 2-3 times all year. Did it Saturday and it extended a drive. The Clemson game. Can’t blame him with his injury history.

Folks Lamar is a unicorn. The guy moves at a speed tied with his vision he never took a big shot. These other guys take big hits and get dinged up. Milroy is a good example he got dinged up and it impacted his play. Then you need a backup that plays the same way.

The Virginia kid is actually a good example of that type when the play isn’t there he can be a problem. Assuming Brown and Watson stay you don’t need a duel threat you need a mobile QB that can operate in the pocket or occasionally QB read play.

I think Louisville has a couple on the roster that can do that but not sure they are good enough in the passing game.
