Fake AD job search

Not confident in the current admistration at all. But, they’re all we have right now. Damn, that hurts to type that, but it’s reality. I promise you this and as all of us on here must attest - none of us have ever been an AD at any university. But, regardless of my inexperience I know this much:

Padgett would not be the next head coach

Davenport would not be the next head coach

A current successful head coach would be my next head coach.

I would strive to hire someone with at least a .700 winning percentage at the D-I level. There are a few guys below the .700 mark that might get consideration. I really don’t think this should be that difficult.

I agree, but one thing we can't do is compromise. That's what the new guys want you to do. Go easier on them, give them money anyway, be patient, manage your expenses, and lower your standards when that stuff doesn't deliver the results we're used to.

When you start down that path, you cheapen your athletics program. Eventually, you're a middle-of-the-road ACC program, an NC State or Georgia Tech. That's not how U of L's athletic programs have been managed...
