This is really bad coverage by ESPN the views they are giving to their viewers is awful. That end zone you can’t tell if it was a good play or a bad play. When they go to the split screen it is like watching the game on a small screen.

You might be on the wrong station. They do other streams of the game on their other networks. The Main ESPN has been fine for me

Nope I am not watching on espn2 just like that last play their camera couldn’t keep up with the football. You didn’t know what was going on until the ND team started to celebrate.

I thought the camera action they took showing the play from the end zone instead of the sideline was a poor view. You couldn’t tell if the runner got a first down or was stopped for a loss. I guess they were trying to put you in the play so you could see what the quarterback was seeing.

I've never understood Desmond Howard's value, but the whole set is marred by Pat McAfee; I know we're in a Barstool Bro era, but he turns what I think is serious evaluation into a Clown show. Which I guess is a thing these days, to turn everything into outrageous spectacle.

Des adds little or nothing. He is there b/c he is a Heisman winner from a "name" program.

I agree with you about McAfee. My Grandsons and their respective crews like him.

I will give some credit to their pre-game coverage. I was in the other room when one of the analysts (Herbie???) stated that the game would likely come down to a late-game turnover and a resulting FG. The wife thought it was an outrageous comment and took umbrage with it. How could he make such a ridiculous comment? My reply was that it was to help sell the game and that I happened to agree with it. I just picked the wrong team to win.

To me it seems almost like a carnival atmosphere they are overdoing the hype. The status of the games sell themselves I think they should approach it like they do the Final Four.

I was in Cantina Laredo (Destin) watching without any sound. I have increasingly started turning off the sound on most sports broadcasts, and particularly avoiding any "talking heads" using their shows just to hear the sound of their own voices.
