Duke is going to smash the Cards Tuesday nite.

Cards aren't mentally tough enough despite being the 25th game.

And it is a BLACKOUT GAME.

Can't wait for all the Cards fans in White, grey or Red........

Honestly don't see how the Cards can handle Duke, so I guess it's appropriate to wear black. It'll probably feel like going to a funeral anyway.

Duke is really impressive they are the best team I have seen all year. They are without a doubt the number one team in the country. The thing that stood out with me in regards to Virginia was how physically under developed their players are. I wonder if they even have a strength coach.

In regards to Duke all I can say is that we can't focus on the small fundamental things not only will we get beat but will be in serious jeopardy of getting straight clowned on national tv. Hopefully their overall shooting takes a night off and we can find some shots somewhere. I'm not looking forward to seeing Williams and Enoch get punished "in front of company" .

While I'm not foaming at the mouth and chanting overused Dick Vital phrases about the Z-kid like most of the media I do personally think both Malik and Steven are just a little too light in the britches with poor defensive footwork and skills to roll with the Z-kid straight up especially if his motor is cranked up and into a rhythm early with uncontested dunks, shots, etc and feeling himself.

I'm sure those of you that watch college basketball know what I'm saying is not a new revelation by any means. But again I would love nothing more to see our big guys have the game of games. As much as the outlook looks grim for this game, we have all seen crazier things happen. Go Cards !

You know what, they are beatable. Syracuse beat them. Duke is coming off a big win. A letdown is possible. Young teams are always susceptible to not showing up mentally. The Cards might be pumped to atone for Saturday's turnover fest choke job. ESPN's game predictor gives the Cards a 27% chance. Do I think they can do it? Sure. Will they? TBD.

Man I hope so. Cuse also beat them without their point guard Tre Jones and their sf cam reddish. They barely win in OT. But who knows, odder things have happened. Go Cards!

I've been looking close at Duke's stats for the season thus far, and they just don't shoot free throws very well and they don't really shoot the 3 pointers great either.

As a team, Duke shoots 67.7% from the free throw line. UofL shoots 76.7%

Duke shoots 48.9% from the floor (which is outstanding), but just 32% from behind the 3 point line. UofL shoots 45.7% from the floor and 36.5% from behind the 3 point line, and we've done it against a tougher schedule thus far IMO.

The clear advantage for Duke is inside because they shoot well and they rebound well (42.2rpg vs 37.5rpg for the Cards).

If the Cards can play outstanding line ball defense and keep them out of the paint some AND rebound while taking care of the ball (no more FSU type games), then just maybe a miracle CAN happen tomorrow night.

GO CARDS!!!

Hate to say it, but its no chance the Cards win Cue.
The Cards may keep it close for awhile, however eventually Duke is going to rev past the Cards.
They just dont play with enough fire in the belly.
Even with #2 Duke (number one overall seed)coming to town, theyll play hard, but not hard enough for 40 minutes for a win.

Missed opportunity at Tallahassee.

Dukes perimeter shooting isn’t consistent. Syracuse plays zone defense and caught duke on a bad shooting night. I haven’t seen much zone defense played by the cards but who knows.

Number one, we aren't beating anybody let alone Duke with the alarming number of turnovers. If we can keep the turnovers in the single digits; get three guys making shots in the 10-17 point range; McMahon off the bench with his 3 or 4 threes, block out and keep Duke to one shot without our bigs being pushed around getting in early foul trouble and giving up and-1's; we'll be in the game. If duke goes off making 3's like they did at Virginia it's going to be impossible to beat them. Zion and Barrett are going to score. They are just too good but if Reddish, White, and the others are knocking down three's it's going to be a long night.

I hate agreeing but I feel you're right. The fire is there in Sutton but he can't carry this team by himself. They all play hard and that won't be enough tonight. We'll need some help. Duke has to be ice cold and we'll need to get to the line, rebound well, take care of the ball, and shoot well from behind the arc to have ANY shot. That's a lot of things that have to go right. place even 1 of those areas in the negative and we don't have enough to win.

I stand corrected.
Sutton and CC do play with the Fire, but they cant do it alone. The other 7 need to match their intensity.

Enoch is still lacking. He was taken out of the starting lineup because of foul troubles and he still had 3 first half fouls.

Coach Mack might have to play Akoy in the first half to keep Enoch or Malik from getting 3 fouls. Even 2.

After tonite, i'll resume my favorability towards the Cards. Had they taken care of business in Tallahassee, i could see a possible upset. The Cards last two losses seem to be more atypical. This team is a second level team that will finish in the NCAAT 1-1 or 2-1.

The key to tonight's game is keep Duke out of the lane and deny the post. The pack line defense is designed to do just that. But, unfortunately, at times the Cards get lazy on help side defense and the pack line defense breaks down. We cannot have a repeat of guys flying into the lane like we did at Florida St. If we do, it will be a very long night.
