With the news that Jon Greenard is transferring, we lose our best defensive player. Also he was the only dude on one of the worst defensive lines in the country. I sincerely hope we have patience next season because we are going to be horrible.

Good luck to him, but who cares? We need a coach who is going to seriously recruit and coach that position. Greenard would have certainly helped next season, but our problems and solutions are far bigger than one player.

I care. Losing your best defensive player is important. Obviously we have huge issues but they just got bigger.

I can't blame him - and I agree 100% with your thoughts.

It's disappointing, would have loved to have him help steer the new regime.

Hope he has a big SR year and gets healthy for the draft.

not true he is leaving......University issued a statement that he has not requested to transfer.

Statement from Louisville football spokesman: “Jonathan Greenard confirmed today with the U of L athletics department that he and his family have not had any communications with the University of Florida about transferring.”

If Florida had communications with him, I believe that’d be a violation. The university said he isn’t in the transfer portal but I’m not sure how that works for a grad transfer. I’ll be shocked if he doesn’t end up at Florida next semester.

I hope like hell that he stays. Having a good pass rush is a recipe for turning things around quickly. We need him.

Come on, Vince! Let’s get our coach by tomorrow.

I think the key to having a successful team is correlated to how many plays for a loss of yardage the defense makes.

Well, yes, obviously. But my point is if you have a good edge rusher or 2, you can mask a lot of other problems on your defense.

Next year is going to rough on defense you can't fix that mess in 1 year or 2 years. The only good news is there is plenty of playing time available.
Wish there were 2 like buttons. I would have clicked both.

The players on the roster will have ample opportunity to prove themselves. Plenty of PT for those who can earn it.

Greenard will be a grad transfer so I am not surprised. Why stay here in a rebuild when you can play for an established team?

Now our commits looking elsewhere is a concern. We need a coach to fix that [assuming now coach still wants those players].

Wtf is going on?

We're out here trying to snatch grad transfers from everywhere, and want to bitch when somebody grabs ours?

With good there is bad.
