It's been a little while since we have had one of these recruiting posts and frankly, I'm excited they are back. Despite the devastating loss to Florida St. on Saturday there are still some positives to come away with and one is at the defensive back position.
3-star DB AJ Hopkins visited Louisville this past weekend and seemed to solidify what I've been hearing on the Mississippi prospect. From what I'm hearing, Hopkins is wanting to commit to Louisville, but I believe there are two prospects that are a higher priority: Jordan Clark and Ray Woodie. Clark also visited Louisville this weekend, paying his way on an unofficial visit before an upcoming decision that appears to be coming sooner rather than later, has to be seen as a good sign. Talking with a source following his visit on Saturday, they said that Clark "loves it" at Louisville. Yet another source indicated to me that they believe Clark ultimately picks Louisville. The Cardinals have done a good job the past couple years of recruiting talented defensive backs and Clark would definitely add to that.
