Statistics can often be misleading, and in the case of individuals who have significantly less minutes, it is not uncommon to see higher shooting percentages for those taking fewer shots. However, in the case of Wheeler and Curry they have combined for 20 FGs out of 28 attempts in a total of 152 minutes. In comparison, Withers is 24 of 63 in 255 minutes

Reactions: shadow force
FSU may be struggling, but they are huge at every position, and Malik will risk being neutralized, and subject to early foul trouble if he is on the floor without Curry and Wheeler. Even Gabe might provide some welcome size inside, to assume some of the defensive responsibilities and defensive rebounding.

Not giving up on Withers, but he must demonstrate marked improvement before he deserves the minutes that Wheeler and Curry have earned.

The rotations have gradually become a little more clear maybe. West/Locke for sure set @ G. El/Faulkner backing them up, both getting chances to stay on the floor if they are playing well. This seems all set, no confusion.

But the front court is not as clear. I guess the starters are now Sam/Cross/Malik. So the starting 5 has 4 3pt threats (maybe 3 if you exclude West) and Sam slashing/feeding/rebounding. I like it.

They finally gave most of Withers minutes away last game. Is that set in stone? No. Curry got a shot because Malik was in foul trouble. They have Dre hustling his ass off if you give him 5 or 20 min. So that's good. Does Curry go back to 3-6 min tonight? JJ was in @ crunch time? Gabe some days, but not others. Both these guys just don't seem to have a role, but I guess that could change? I doubt it. Withers the enigma. Oh, and Wheeler. Probably the "upside" guy he is pretty solid for a FR hell yeah.

I haven't seen FSU this year, they typically have length. I am with you I like Curry. I hope he gets 10-15 min tonight, but does FSU length limit him? If it does, Mack may go with more size at the backup 5 with Gabe or Wheeler. My gut says Gabe is a little too limited and might get worked in this one. I have no crystal ball.

Play good half court D, hit some 3s, limit turnovers, limit bad shots. Sounds like the plan?
