David is Done!

Deng asked him if he should just throw it long and he said "No!" That sealed his fate. Thanks for the season DP. Can't wait till Shaka, Marshall, or Mack is announced in a few weeks. That mistake would have NEVER happened! GO CARDS!
Can’t blame the coach for this one. Make simple plays a that game was won. This one is on the players.

Half and half. You shouldn't need a coach to finish that off, but some semblance of intelligence from the sideline would have helped. Dumb playing and bad coaching.

Another dumb thread. David had this team ready and dominated the #1 team in the country till some late mistakes and some ridiculous shots fell for UVA. Not to mention the bald headed a-hole who blew 3 easy out-of - bounds calls.

The foul was astonishing. Ditto for trying to run the baseline. Just mind numbingly stupid and unfathomable those things could occur within 4 seconds of one another

Closing a game this easy shouldn't need coaching of any sort! Don't allow threes don't allow FT's and layups! VA not challenged at all! MORE HEART!

Death knell for coaching staff. Get serious about the search for our new coach.

No question that it not all on DP, he didn't make the bone head plays himself but he should have drilled it in there heads to stay away. The only way we could have lost with a 4 point lead was to foul on 3. He should have made sure no one got near anyone shooting a 3. Then he should have called a TO to tell Deng to just throw the ball down the court. Instead he told Deng to run a in bounds play which Deng then walked.

This loss IS on DP, he has to control those two actions. I agree he did a great job getting them to the end of the game but it doesn't do any good if you can't close them out with good coaching. I love DP and I appreciate all he has done to get us through this year but but we have to at least try to get an experienced, proven winner of HC. If we can't I guess he keeps learning on the job....

If you have to teach kids at this level to not foil three point shooters and how to take the ball out of bounds then you are fighting a losing battle. Coaches should be fine tuning not teaching basic basketball at college level

When players like King for example keep doing the same bonehead things over and over like passing up an open shot to drive and get a turnover or to get it blocked you HAVE to blame the coach. I blame him for not benching KIng to start the game to get his damn attention, and Deng for constantly forcing bad shots and turning his head and leaving his man open for a three. It's maddening to keep watching the same mistakes and selfish play. I want a coach who will peel the paint off the walls and bench players. Nwora's defense may be horrific, who knows since Padgett hasn't explained why he doesn't play, but he SHOULD be playing over KIng. If for no other reason than to send a message. I don't think these players have any fear of DP at all. It's obvious Mahmoud doesn't listen to him about rebounding.
