Cue Card

It was my honor and privilege to serve this country. The country is not perfect but I accept it, warts and all. I volunteered and it was the best decision of my life. The Army provided the skills and education I needed to be successful in life. I'm not rich but I don't have to worry about paying my bills, or going hungry. I have my family and health too so I feel blessed.

I want to thank everyone who currently serves this country because as dangerous as it was when I served, it's way more dangerous today. May God bless them all. If you see a soldier in uniform or cop, or a fireman, or any other civil service person, take the time to tell them they are appreciated. It may not seem like much but it means a lot.

Go CARDS!!!

I know deep in my heart most of us who live in this country love it just as much as I do but all this gushing over my military service is getting weird. Please stop.

I served over 20 years ago. I served when President Clinton was in office. I voted for him twice btw for all those who think I'm some type of radical far right wing nutjob.:D

It's a different world today.

EDIT: I started my service during President Reagan's last year, then the elder Bush was elected to the office of the President of the United States, and finished my career under President Clinton whom I voted for twice. Getting old sucks. Things get jumbled.
