Court ordered mediation failed in players 2013 title lawsiut

The dollar value was never the issue. I guess you'd have to tell me what UK recruit was paid at all to go to UK, let alone hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Curious as to why you are asking only about UK, when I used not only them but also several of the current elite schools in college basketball.

And yes, I realize you are a UK fan, but the point I made was not a slam at UK, but at a system that allows shoe companies to pay players who are supposed to be amateur athletes.

Sorry, on here I guess I had a conditioned response.

Not a problem ... and to be clear, very little of what I’m saying here can be proven. The reason why I mention UK at all is because they are one of the all-time great programs in college basketball and because Pitino used to be their coach. If he knew where the bodies were buried with regards to the shoe company money, he undoubtedly got that information from his time both at UofL and UK, among others.

I just have a hard time believing that Pitino, who was an outspoken critic of shoe company money in college basketball for 20+ years, would somehow be completely unaware that Adidas had paid Brian Bowen’s family $100,000 to play for Louisville.

A much more likely explanation, in my opinion, is that Pitino got really pissed off at what he felt was the NCAA’s hypocrisy in taking away his 2013 title because of UofL’s ineligible players, and he informed the FBI that Adidas was in a bidding war with Nike, Jordan brand, UA, etc. for Brian Bowen’s signature with one of their schools. The end goal being to drag out into the light the fact that nearly every major school was also playing with ineligible players who had received shoe company money.

Louisville shouid hang a banner for 2013 that says “2013 Men’s National Champions” another 2012 Men’s Final Four” and if the NCAA is later forced to reinstate the title, then change it.
We all saw UL play in the FF in 2012,and win it all in 2013. Can’t unplay ganes.

Lol.

“Personally probably” not in favor of litigation is a far cry from not wanting the banners up.

More failed puffery about the “clown show”.

Nothing preventing any clown from putting a banner up that says something. If they want to.

As always, I don't need the hypotheticals of apologists.

Defense rests (again)...

You’re right of course - “putting up a banner that says something” is exactly what they should do. o_O

You should stop trying to litigate your way back on condo boards and become a full time athletic department consultant. I’m sure you could make tens of dollars.

As this is about the 10th thread where you’ve incorrectly used the word hypothetical - that is what you need to give a rest to.

Maybe you should have given me a language lesson or legal advice when you tugged on my sleeve. I couldn't have paid less attention...

No question we should do put up a banner that simply says "2013" and "2012". It doesn't need anything more on it, everyone will know what it means and the NCAA couldn't say a thing about it.

I do understand not going to battle at this time against the NCAA until all this FBI crap is over but as soon as it is, we should. BUT that shouldn't stop us from hanging a banner I stated above.

I saw a series of tweets today that said there were wiretaps that said Nike had offered Zion & Nassir Little $150,000 to play at Arizona and yet they signed with Duke & UNC. That wiretap also has a Nike guy acknowledge that "Nike Schools pay too and that how could it be a crime when this is the way things are done in college BBAll. Also said NCAA violations in recruiting was an OPEN SECRET.

How is this not on every front page of sports sections and on the crawl at ESPN? If it was about UofL it would be and they'd regurgitate the line that RP is only coach to be fired and etc etc etc.....

And yet, it’s all you can talk about.

I sense another diary entry forthcoming...
How many times do you have to be reminded that I couldn't pick you out of a line-up? They call that a "lasting impression".

Now, the fact that you needed to come up and introduce yourself is another matter...

We also need a regime change. The clowns in charge now don't have the stomach for anything recognizing the past.

While not a lawyer, I'm pretty sure you can't wait forever to file suit. Whatever statute of limitations there are...

Lol - not even once little buddy. You just keep on bringing it up on your own as many times as it takes to make you feel ok.
