Copy of U of L's sex scandal response to NCAA

Prediction there will be no lawsuit in any case from UofL to the NCAA.

The incident involving the FBI to the best of my knowledge has not been addressed by the NCAA. And it may well not be. The coach involved has been fired, two administrators above that assistant fired. The player alleged to have been involved never played a game for UofL, so there are no games to forfeit. Whatever 'intent' was, when the University became aware of it the situation was addressed.

Well you just stated UofLs position in the Katrina deal. The question did the Ho’s benefit recruiting and the answer is no. Did student athletes get special treatment that’s the big question. UofL can probably prove they didn’t. More importantly why is UofL being punished. Here’s where the NCAA screwed up. The woman on the committee stated basically we were being punished for moral reasons. That’s not a violation.

Should we take the NCAA to a real court absolutely. And I think we win if we argue that we were not punished fairly. I’m thinking plenty of people not just UofL would love to see the NCAA in court trying to explain their position, which will be hard to argue.

Whether the band of idiots take the NCAA to court who knows but I doubt it. It doesn’t fit their agenda.

When we get to be older sports fans, we realize that what we actually see is literally the tip of an iceberg. Or perhaps the tipping point.
My belief is that the BOT wants this in their rearview mirror. They will be willing to settle with Tom Jurich for a sum they believe is too high, he will believe too low.

The appeal that was put up was solid. Sound. If it were a court of law I think it would stand. There is no 'law' to the NCAA. Only rules they interpret.

It should have been disbanded and replaced ten years ago. Too much money to be made though.
