You can see a big change in Snider, Mitchell, and now Mahmoud's games. One of the biggest factors is confidence. For Snider it was the Uk game, Mitchell the IU game, and it seems it was being moved to the starting line up for Anas.

Mitchell and Snider are finally showing the improvement in their three point shot that Pitino had talked about during the off season. I love the way Mahmoud is progressing. He is a game changer out there, especially on the defensive end the likes we haven't truly seen since Gorgui Dieng was in the middle.

Adel has had some good games against Uk and IU but is not as consistent as Snider and Mitchell. Having him reach that level, or close to it, could give the push this team needs to make a really special run in March.

I like the way theyre playing.
Need to win on the road. Big opportunity at FSU saturday.

JJ started because he beat out Ray. He had 3 straight double double games.
Shouldn't matter if he starts or not, he needs to bring it like he starts.

I agree! He also needs to stop looking over at the bench every time he makes a mistake. Play hard and focus on the next series, offense and defense.

cant help but to look at the bench because you have no clue what the coach will do.

so yes you are right he needs to bust his tail and play through it. stop being scared. we need him.

Man, there's nothing to argue with there. It is a tribute to just how "young" we are in terms of game-playing time. Coach went out and cooked up a challenging dinner of games for the early season and it seems like exactly what we needed. No coasting, a few hard losses and lessons, now we expect everyone to play their best against us - we expect no less than good competition. These guys love the challenge, it sure seems to me.

You are right about confidence, Shadow. Seeing it emerging at game time means they've been doing it for a while at practice. Real time has shown them they are at a high level already. Now they can create - all of them.

Putting the improving Ray Spalding in there with Anas is unfair, lol. I think it;s genius.

Jaylen Johnson has got his mojo back. He and the team played great game. If they play with the same intensity and focus a win at Tallahassee is possible.

The rest on the bench will help Q. There are things he will see that you can't see from the floor, such as his teammates comfort areas to receive a pass and shoot with confidence.

He is doing very well already, but to get extra observations and not sitting on the bench to catch your breath to go back into the game is valuable.

After the Virginia game, there was a watershed moment on who might step up and lead this team.As much as I was po'ed about that loss on those conditions,it needed to happen, and since guys have stepped up as leaders, this is a different team than before that Virginia game.Love it and love this team.

When we play with energy and move the ball we are a good team.
