First, he should have kept/convinced Williamson and Noah locke to stay

2nd, should have brought in another PG

Hopefully he can sway AJ away from Texas/NBDL.

Its going to be a long season....

Was bummed seeing Sam leave. It’s just been an awful 5 years, and I really hope it turns around sooner than later. What I don’t get with this years squad is the lack of urgency and playmaking. Lackadaisical on defense, and no one on the court seems to be fluid with one another. If it weren’t for Ellis, we’d be screwed moreso.

I wouldn't have minded keeping Dre Davis (and bringing in his brother) too. At least Dre rebounded and always played hard.

I havent despised a player like dre davis since swopshire.
Davis was just too limited. Not an ACC player.

If the players left they didn't want to be here for one reason or another.

Can't duct tape 'em and make 'em stay.

I'm not 100% on this but I believe Sam might have a family member ill. I feel like I read or heard that somewhere, and that's why he wanted to be closer to home.

This won’t be a popular opinion, but I saw progress yet again, and where we desperately needed it the most: the FG percentage defense was markedly better last night, especially in the second half. We had been giving up 48% shooting from the field, and App State only shot 38%.

On to Maui, to see what we can do against the big boys!

God bless you my man. Hang in there !

The mistake was swinging for high profile guys and missing instead of finding guys that could help cover for Ellis and James. Hard to argue going for those guys but it hurt them getting guys that actually could help.

Ellis is getting a lot of praise from pundits saying he's a 1st team all ACC performer. One guy said he cannot see the Cards continually losing because of Ellis. Saying his turnovers are because he has the ball so much and he would have more assists if his teammates would make more of their shots.

I saw one guy say he sees talent on the team but they haven't yet learned how to play together. Said the one point losses were flukes. He said don't be surprised if Louisville surprises people in Maui.

Even though we would still have the same issues to work on, we could easily be 3 and 0. Players confidence would be much higher. I think once the team beats a good team the tide will turn. I doubt we will be a tournament team but a winning record we should have.

At the time KP was pursuing candidates, there was every reason for most any top recruit to look elsewhere. Like Pushup stated, I have seen some improvement each game and while the results are disappointing, it is too late to bemoan the roster or what could have been.

Maui is going to tell us where it's at. And I don't think too many of our fans are gonna like it.

But I hope I'm wrong because I'm supporting everyone at UofL.
