Closing out the recruiting class

Haven't heard any updates for a while on our recruiting class. Who do we end up with? It's been silent and that's usually not a good sign with 5 days to go. I'll gladly eat crow if I'm wrong but it looks like the staff is limping into signing day. Looks like the only high profile recruit we close out with is AJ Davis which would be a great running back compliment, but we need more O-lineman. Looks like Miami is finishing strong with Jeff Thomas, Possibly Bateman, Brian Edwards and others. We need to land one to 2 of those guys if we want to have a top 25 or 30 class.

Bateman announces Monday. CB is 87% Louisville.
Edwards hasnt announced when he's announcing so assuming it will be on 2/1.
Elijah Conliffe is a possible flip. 4* DE visiting UofL as we speak.

They think we finish with Bateman, and Edwards, and we get Stephens back. I could see bateman, but I think the other 2 are Miami and south Florida bound respectively. It would be nice if we could get those three, and AJ Davis. He only predicts who will come to louisville and not where everyone else goes though. I think Davis could pull a surprise commit to the cards.

Davis would be a good pick up but I think it would be a battle between him and Wilson for the number 2 spot. Utimately I would bet Davis wins that battle because he was the number one or two back on his team in the under armor game line up, so clearly those coaches saw something from him. But as was stated above he is supposedly all pitt.

Generally message boards have some inside info hence the premium content for paying members only, but who should I be following? Mike? Howie? Already checked and not much in the last week.

There honestly isn't much great news. It would be a big surprise if Bateman didn't commit to us on Monday. The staff has been in a late scramble to find defensive lineman without much success. Conliffe didn't even make his scheduled visit this weekend. Guy Thomas did visit and he would be a great flip, but I'm not sure what our chances are. We've got a very good class as long as we retain our current commits. Seems like every year there's an opportunity to pick up 1 or 2 after signing day who become available for one reason or another.

He doesn't say. That tweet was made at 6:28 this evening. Of course, Demoing runs a "competing" website, so I doubt he will be revealing all on Twitter.

Sounds like a qualification issue. Easier to get qualified at UC vs UofL. If he isn't going to hit the mark with grades you need to go ahead and cut bait.

Not easier to get qualified at UC - Cincinnati is just willing to reserve a spot for him in case he does qualify.

Looks like we got Bateman so the OL is good for a while. Maybe pick up a guy Or 2 in the next class. DT and DE are definitely the positions of need in the next class. We are recruiting a class behind there now.
