Bad.I don't know anything about this Creighton team. Is it a good or bad matchup for the Cards?
One positive is that Kalkenbrenner is not mobile enough to come out high and disrupt our passing game the way that Duke's big men did. If he does come out, blow by them on the drive or lob to Scott on the back end. It will be a tough game but one we can win. They have a 7' app. 240 center. Leading scorer, app. 90 blocked shots, a 6' 10" app. same weight back-up. A 6' 10" forward, a 6' 6" forward w/6' 8" backup, 6' 1" & 6' 2" shooting guards (ea. avg. 16 1/2 points p. game). They play 8 - 9 guys. They split w/St. John's in reg. season, lost in the finals to them in the tournament. Beat UConn twice, lost to Alabama by 8, beat Kansas and split with Marquette. As Knucklehank stated, their Center is their star and is a load. Again, a very tough opening round opponent. We'll need to play well to win. If we're hitting from the outside, that would definitely help.
I'll lay the 2.5 and take the Cards! One positive is that Kalkenbrenner is not mobile enough to come out high and disrupt our passing game the way that Duke's big men did. If he does come out, blow by them on the drive or lob to Scott on the back end. It will be a tough game but one we can win.
