Ugh, the WF game in a different arena so far. Cards can’t hit their outside shots and are struggling when getting the ball down low. They have kept the game close so far. Nyla…?? 2-3 TOs and she is 2-2 with hitting the side of the backboard.

I am unable to watch the game because I am traveling. The fact that we only have 21 points in the first half is not good. I was afraid that the WF game was going to show our opponents how bad we are in a half court game. Against WF we let them control the tempo I guess the same thing is happening in this game.

Didn’t realize that this one started at 6. Cards playing good defense here in the third quarter and have tied it up at 31. Out scoring Pitt 10-3.

Cards are crushing Pitt on the boards, but are ice cold from the floor (30% overall and just 14% from 3pt). Cards lead 35-33 going to the fourth quarter. Gonna have to grind this one out to get the W.

I don’t understand why we aren’t pushing the ball up court faster and controlling the tempo. This is the same thing we did against WF and it will eventually catch up with us.

The “intentional/flagrant” foul interpretation is just odd. Neither of those “intentional” fouls were intentional or flagrant. I’m sure they hurt, but that’s not what the rule is intended for.

Cards have blown up for 44 points in the second half and have put the Panthers away. Now the big question is, can we give Georgia Tech a game?

Our poor, unfocused play leads me to believe that often we do not respect our opponent. We look at their record and think we can just coast and win. Not the case in todays sports, of any kind. Could this be the result of having a young team, a team still struggling to firmly establish a leader? I have faith in Jeff to help them grow up. We have the potential to be a very solid team.
