The debacle at Syracuse surprised virtually everyone who follows college football, and I'm predicting the Cards will again befuddle the pundits against UCF.

Coach Satterfield knows he has to open up the playbook after whatever that was against the Orange. I think Malik will get the green light and the offense will be more like everyone expected.

The defense will be inspired by the offense and they also need redemption from whatever that was against the Orange. The tackling will be much better and they will force a couple of turnovers.

Watch for Jordan on special teams. I think he may get a TD return that inspires the team. The game is close throughout and with just a minute to go, the Cards kick the winning FG to upset the Golden Knights.

Louisville 30
UCF 27

And just like that, thousands of Cards fans walk off the bridge instead of jumping as the Cards prepare to play their first home game.

Satterfield and the players know they better not have another stinker or the attendance against FSU will be embarrassing lite. There's a lot at stake in game two because of the pathetic performance against Syracuse and if these football players have any pride at all, they will take it to UCF.

Again, I am not predicting anything, but Realville is very close to the truth ……. this roster has some experience and talent to overcome last Saturday’s performance; it was not representative of what I believe they are capable of doing.

With that said, CSS and Brian Brown had better prepare to alter their game plan for UCF, as Syracuse showed what can happen when an opponent can accurately predict UL’s game plan on both sides of the football, and the UL coaches cannot adjust in real time..

I wanna believe but we've seen this song and dance from this staff too many times for me to buy in again. There has to be consistent winning, weeks in a row, before I believe again. Sorry.

I have always been taught that in life and in sports....that when the going gets tough, the tough get going. That phrase has stuck with me for a lifetime...it applies across the board...including the fans.

I will always support the Cardinals...through the good and the bad. What are you/we made of?

I will be tuned in tonight, next week and all the following games come hell or high water.

I don’t know what you all think will change from last Saturday? UCF is licking their chops after watching that film with all the holes in this defense.
As I am not a fortune teller...I don't know what will change...but I will sure be there watching and rooting for my favorite team tonight and all games in the future voicing my support. Good or bad.
Onward fellow Cards fans....look forward, it is a new day and a new game.

Besides the team not being any good, there are some things to factor in. UCF has won 8 straight at home. UofL has lost 9 out of 11 on the road. Additionally, for teams who open the season with two road games, a team who was the favorite in week one on the road and lost, is 1-12-1 their following road game.

It took a miracle to beat UCF at home last year. UCF by two touchdowns at a minimum.

I'll watch every game. I just see things differently than you.

I do not believe in this coaching staff and I believe they have lost this team.

I hope you are right, but he needs to show us. I am rooting for them to finish the season 11-1, believe me. Let's see what happens. I do NOT want another rebuild and I'm not convinced that heir apparent Jeff Brohm will be any better.

You can’t assume he’s lost the team without seeing the follow up performance. We will know if he has or hasn’t tonight. Tonight will tell you how the rest of the season will go.

This game shows the dilemma of Louisville football. A roster of talented players with inconsistent coaching.

The defense was aggressive from the start. They decided to sell out on stopping that QB from running and it led to a bunch of great defensive performances. Coach Brown realized it early in the 2nd quarter. Got to give him credit for adjusting.

Once again, coach Satt's play calling just doesn't make much sense. He runs the ball on 2nd and long so the 3rd down yards to get is short instead of trying to get the 1st down on 2nd and long. He does this at some very bad times and it stuffs the drive. I mean how many times did we rush for 5 or more yards on 2nd and long? The answer is one.

We could have put the game away the last three possessions and all he wanted to do was run off tackle.

This team is about to face a lot of diversity, tonight we beat a one dimensional AAC team by selling out to stop the run.

UCF's QB is inaccurate and cannot win with just his arm.

The team won in spite of Satterfield not due to his game plan or playcalling.

I want to see what happens after we get steamrolled again.

I was extremely critical of the defense against Syracuse. Obviously much better against UCF. Good pressure and back end played well. Now can they do it against FSU we shall see.

I think the offense will get better. Most of the skill guys are new that is going to take some time. They still need to improve their short passing game.

Long season. They main thing is consistently playing at a high level.
