Calipari Foot in Mouth Disease

Another dose of that humility huh?

Some of their fans wonder why the rest of the nation didn't rally behind their quest for perfection.

Maybe, just maybe, it's these arrogant one liners that just rub casual Joes the wrong way.

No one is surprised by his comments....not even uk fans. The only difference between uk fans and literally everyone else outside of them is that uk fans beleive that is a truth based on entitlement when every one else knows it's a statement based on arrogance, pride and deceit.

It's a forked tongue statement and the blue fans are all lambs.

Just to clarify he was discussing a conversation with Tyler Ulis. He said he told Ulis that. I could really care less about the comment, take it or leave it. I will add I like the fact we are hated, that means we are significant. In most cases the hated teams are successful.

A university can't have a loudmouth and arrogant coach speaking for it like this. He thinks he is bigger than the university president evidently. I've been around quite a while and have never heard a college coach talk like he does. A poor reflection on the university. Why would a university want to be hated, as you suggest you do?

It's a standard defense mechanism used to deflect. Saying they love to be hated is just allegiance.

You think he hated the UK team that got beat by Laettner at the buzzer? Of course he didn't, yet - that team was one of the most beloved teams nationally we've ever seen.

"I like being hated!" - bunch of BS. It's just a dance around discussing "why" they are hated.

The other silly counter-punch is jealousy. They say that a lot too.

Again, the dance around.

Hate is a strong word probably a poor choice. I will only say if you are insignificant no one notices you. UK basketball is always generating conversation, both pro and con. When you are successful people always take shots, they have to find something to criticize. Our success and how we do it annoys people but I enjoy success and deal with the haters.

Runner up to UCONN '14. UofL stomped them 3 times and had UK on the ropes.

Weak ass SEC 38-1 ...'15. UofL one foul shot away from Final Four as well.

You win.

"how we do it" ...really? You, sir, don't do shit.

All your other sports are safe using your analogy

Football is really the only sport we have really struggled with. Hopefully that turns at some point in my lifetime. Lol

Didn't take him long to get up off the mat. No way he comes back to UK. It is all downhill from here. He will be criticized roundly all off season and next year when they lose throughout the season. SEC will be better and his team probably won't be. He is a very smart guy and he knows he has run his course at UK and now he has HOF resume. He's gone if right NBA job is open. He also seems worn out with coaching at UK. He looks very tired and has talked about it.
