7? Can't seem to locate 7 final fours for Cal in the NCAA record books.

The thing about Cal is he keeps basketball real simple. They don't run a ton of sets on offense and keep it real simple on defense where they switch everything. He has that luxury with the talent he brings in. The other luxury he has is they play in the SEC against average coaches and teams that can take really challenge them talent wise or team wise. The talent wins out. This always leads to a great season and a high seeding. They really haven't faced anyone that can match their talent with team play until the elite 8. That is when their tournament starts except last year when every game was tough. Once the elite 8 starts they usually end up in a dog fight. They lost to West Virginia and found a way to beat Michigan and Notre Dame in the last minute. Then once they get to the Final 4 they have to win two games against great teams at that point. They did it once but that was by far his best team that had 3 NBA starters and 1 NBA All Star. The flaw in his system is it is so simple that he can't change in the tournament. Once he starts playing great teams with great coaches he gets out coached.

The best teams they played all year where in the last two games. It isn't surprising that they got beat.

This UK program really looks like the unc teams under Smith.

That's right. Officially he has 5 final fours. Not 7. The 2 vacated final fours are not a part of his coaching record. Maybe that's the main reason people say he's not responsible for them because he doesn't get to count them? LMAO!!!

One thing is clear. Cal has been beaten in post season play five times by five teams that had a grand total of one McDonalds player. He also gave away a game when he was at Memphis before he even came to Lexington. In that time he's had over 20 Burger Boys. It's the UK fans who always said that only a title that counts. I don't want to hear any more 40 and 0 talk. UK fans won't admit it ever, but Cal simply has been outcoached at the end all but one year. The OAD has simply gone south almost every time and will continue to fail. KY's massive arrogance this year knew no bounds and at the end they didn't produce. Just another attempt to cheat the system and Wisky was simply to mature to buy into all of the hype. Cal was coached off the floor again.
