We are off but there are some fun games for us to watch that may matter to us going forward and some just interesting in general

Saturday games
Our Opponents Underlined

Noon Games
  • Memphis State @ FSU- can Norvell beat his old team and get back on track or does the slide continue?
  • Alabama @ Wisconsin- For fans of college football, seeing Bama go to Camp Randall is what you want to see.
  • Cincy @ Miami OH- Can Satt get a revenge win?
  • #24 BC @ #6 Missouri- how good is BC? Would be massive for our league
3:30-5:00pm games
  • ND @ Purdue- If Notre Dame doesn't respond, we can start thinking this becomes an easier game
  • VMI @ GT- If you want a preview of next week
  • Ball State @ Miami- I doubt anyone cares
  • Washington @ Wash State +Oregon @ Oregon State- the rivalries are still here!
  • WVU @ Pitt- Backyard Brawl and Narduzzi needs this one bad
  • VT @ Old Dominion- Would be a serious upset and may send VT into the dump
5:30-9:00pm games
  • WKU @ MTSU- I know we have some WKU grads in our fan base and know this is a big rivalry
  • Colorado @ Colorado State- I am cheering hard against Coach Prime
  • Georgia @ Kentucky- If you're into bloody horror movies that destroy our SOS, this game is for you
  • Maryland @ Virginia- I may keep my eye on this one because I want to see if UVA is a better team
  • SD State @ Cal- A little ACC After Dark?
5 ACC teams have bye weeks including Louisville, SMU, Syracuse, Stanford, and Clemson. So 3 of our ACC opponents are off. GT & Miami are playing cupcake games.

Now many may take the day off since we have a long season ahead. But I would think the Missouri/BC game will be our noon game, ND @ Purdue as our mid-afternoon game, and then many will watch Kentucky get slaughtered in the late window but I'm going to be checking out the Virginia Maryland game too.

A cool fact of the week.
Western Michigan is Coached by Lance Taylor & Central Michigan is coaches by Jim McElwain. Both guys are our former Offensive Coordinators. I always forget about Jim being our former OC. In a different world, had Jim had a better 2013 season at Colorado State he might have been our next coach, but 2014 was his big year and he got the Florida job a year after we brought Bobby back.

Great layout. I'll be at VB matches. I hope every Cards FB opponent wins. Except for the dreaded Cats.

Oh yeah, there are several games I will be paying close attention to. It's a good setup on the day games if you're a Sportsbook better.

The underdogs appear to be strong in parlays. BC vs Missouri should tell the tale. I do however think FSU will bounce back against Memphis.

Virginia vs Maryland is another interesting game as some of Louisville's future opponents appear to be better than originally thought.

My play of the week : Take GA Bulldogs -13 1/2 for the 1st Half vs the UK Mildcats!! GA will come out take care of business early. Then let up midway thru the 2nd half. This because they have a Trip to Alabama ion deck next week. UK + 24 for the game, and taking GA -24 has a Bad door cover for UK written all over it!

Half time score: GA 24 UK 3!! Watch it happen!!

I have a differnet feel about this game. Cats sprng an upset in a close scoring game 27-24. Color me surprised.

Call me old school, but I just don't like betting just halves, or quarters. Not any confidence in that at all, probably because I've never done it?

I think Georgia will cover but it won't be a slaughterhouse like 48 to 3.

I'm thinking 34 to 6 which is why I'm not going to touch this game, unless I pick an alternative line, say - 18 for the Dawgs.

Okay Sportsbook bettors, here's my top parlay for tomorrow. A 5 leg parlay consisting of alternative spreads and total points, player props, a team props.

1. The BC QB Castellenous Over 153.5 yards passing against Missouri.

This seems like a lock. If BC is going to be competitive he will need to be successful in the air.

2. NC. State - 15.5 against Louisiana Tech.
Alternative line, almost 6 points under current line. My lowest odds of the parlay.

3. LSU receiver Lacy with anytime TD against South Carolina. The Tigers throw the ball 35+ times a game and Lacy has 4 TD'S in 2 games.

4. Ole Miss - Over 42.5 points. Rebels are a offensive juggernaut so far and Wake's defense isn't the answer.

5. Arkansas - 22
Current line against UAB. Petrino doing what he does best calling plays as an OC. The Razorbacks could be a surprise in the SEC this season.

So there it is. This is a Fandual Sportsbook parlay. $10 with a payout of $288.

I'm not a big gambler. I just like having a few bucks on the line while I'm watching college football all day. I can see how these Sportsbooks can get out of control with all the different options you have. I shudder at the thought of this being around when I was younger.

But I do that with a lot of things...

NC State was a loser in my parlay and it looks like Arkansas is also going to be a loser.

I'm done picking teams that were supposed to be good but hasn't shown it yet. I lowered the line by 6 points for the Wolfpack and that wasn't good enough.

College football is very difficult to bet. One week a team can't gain over 200 yards of offense and the next gain over 500.

My feeling was more right than wrong....it was a close game at 13-12 but the cats couldn't pull it off.

UGA was lucky to get out of there with a win and must be better than they showed last night...OR...UK is much better than what they showed vs USCjr. and better than we all thought.

Likely a combination of both is somewhat true.:rolleyes:;)
