Rick’s most recent effort to create a controversy within UL Basketball is nothing more than a media source resorting to gossip in search of a story. Decisions about University employee termination, in the absence of explanation are best left alone, as nothing can be gained by pursuing those unwillingly to discuss on the record.

What is evident here, is that no one is willing to even talk to Bozich, so he responds in a punitive manner by initiating an article using unidentified and unspecified rumors (gossip), pretty irresponsible. None of the UL staff familiar with the decision are willing to discuss, so perhaps there is nothing to share.

I knew there would be a payback for Bozo doing 2 nice pieces on UofL. Now I'm trying to decide if it's worth giving him a click? I believe I'll just take your opinion 233 and not reward a sports journalist (?) for gossip.

Bozo’s methodology of writing is to attempt to create turmoil and false problems. Just ignore him.

GO CARDS!!!

I forget about sports opinion columnists unless someone starts a thread. I probably haven't read any of their articles in 10 years or more. With message boards and social media, there's no reason to read them anymore. Many of the posters on the UofL boards have better takes.

And yeah, in an era where 33% of the players enter the transfer portal and coaches relocate on the reg, it would seem an assistant coaching staff shuffle might not produce some gotcha story, it's commonplace in today's game. Bozo wouldn't be aware, as he still seems to think we are in the 70s.

Bozo is an embarrassment to WDRB. Hopefully, they’ll can him soon.
I do get your drift but I just can’t wish for someone to lose their job. Rather I’d like to see a conversion in attitude but the odds of that happening are slim to none with slim heading out the door. Bozo has to create issues to get anyone to read his drivel.

GO CARDS!!,

I think you are right GOCDS; if Bozo left, I suspect there would just be another “Pat Forde type” to take his place. With that said, unless I see a UL-related headline on a Bozo article; his opinions are of no interest anymore. Conversely, I read most anything Eric Crawford or Jody Demling write.

He’s a journalist and he’s probably frustrated that there absolutely is a story behind the dismissal of Luke and Gaudio. If would be different if these guys were routine hires and then let go but they have been with Mack a while. There’s a story there and I for one would like to hear it. Along with some of the transfers like Nickleberry and Aidan.

So long as the story were factual and truthful. Past history has shown us that local media like bozo is inaccurate because they don’t want to report a positive story about UofL.

Because there’s been no story, either positive or negative, tells me that U of L is not being transparent.

Contrary ....... this might be the season where UL fans see levels of success that we have not seen for quite a while. Mack is making the changes that indicate he is focused on winning, and that is what any successful manager must do. Changes appear to be addressing every weakness we experienced last season.

Players transferring out doesn’t surprise me at all especially Aidan. They transfer for more playing time which Aidan wasn’t going to get. It might be quiet for legal reasons and time will tell. I still find it hard to believe that sending out a recruiting video or coaches practicing with the team is a violation.
