Sure is nice to see a balanced roster.
The roster was AWFUL when CSS got here.

I agree. But one of those positions is QB (though Conley has experience, he lost out in the backup job). We need help there. We’re pretty solid across the board except for depth at a couple of positions. I’m looking forward to the season for the first time in a while.
I think Clarkson was a great answer to our "QB Help Wanted" sign.I agree. But one of those positions is QB (though Conley has experience, he lost out in the backup job). We need help there.

I agree, I think CSS just wasted a year by not firing the DC., although , he may have put Brown on notice after he hired McGriff so that if he has to send him packing the D is still stable. It is pretty hard to get a good read from fall camp. Coaches have talked up players before that just didn’t match up with on field results. Last fall they really talked up the defense. It was a big disappointment.
Depth chart is hard to evaluate. Jones gets the start. He is ok but he isn’t a great cover corner. None of the back end guys are transfers, which the staff raved about all fall camp. What tea leaves are we supposed to take from that?
I guess I don’t trust the D-coaches because whatever they discuss in fall camp doesn’t play out that way. I think I am more concerned now than I was before the depth chart was released.
