Emina Ekic was named ACC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Mercedes Pastor was named ACC Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week yesterday. In addition, Meghan Schneider was named ACC Field Hockey's Defensive Player of the Week.

These two Cardinal squads "swept" the weekend on Floyd Street. WSOC got wins over Syracuse 3-0 and Boston College 2-0 and Field Hockey defeated UNC 3-1 and Boston College 2-1.

Both Ekic and Pastor are prime contenders for the ACC Most Valuable Player awards in WSOC and Field Hockey.

Let's give a special nod to Schneider as well. Friday, she held 2019 ACC Field Hockey leading scorer Erin Matson to just one goal and on Sunday she had Louisville first goal against Boston College.

Louisville Field Hockey is 4-0 in 2020 and has completed their 2020 Fall home schedule. They'll play their final five fall contests on the road. (Some interesting scheduling there, ACC)

Louisville Women's Soccer is 3-1 and doesn't return to Lynn Stadium until October 25th, when they'll host Notre Dame for a Sunday match.

Congratulations to both of these Louisville women's sports squads on their accomplishments so far.!
