Let’s hope our AD is smarter than the guy at Memphis. If rumors hold up they’re thinking of going after a guy (Penny Hardaway) who is a damn high school coach! And to put a cherry on top, Hardaway is considering 77 year old NCAA rule breaker Larry Brown as his top assistant.

While Memphis is a train wreck and Hardaway is a horrible coaching move that’s the mentality everywhere in the country but at the University of Louisville. Questionable characters, who cares, cheating rumors, who cares, sexual abuse, who cares.

Everyone is plowing on and many think we can’t get a good coach? I say BS. If our administration can get out of its own way, we’ll get a great coach. We have the best position on the market, regardless of the current climate.

Hardaway would be an excellent recruiter in all likelihood. LB is a cheater but so too is everyone who coached college basketball at any point it seems.

This idea is going to sound crazy to most (including me as I type it), but since it's being proven all across the land that coaches cheat for recruits, and since it appears the rules for recruiting are going to be changing AND the NBA is looking at ending the age limit then why not just tell Pitino to bring his arse back and clean up his own train wreck? I mean the ULAD owes him millions as it is. He might as well earn it.

I saw this and it appears he has two high level prospects at Memphis East and another on his AAU team, none of which are interested in Memphis with Tubby at the helm. Given Tubby's old school attitude, his comments about transfers and low attendance, it appears Memphis is ready to go nuclear. NTM there is a pro team in town with which to split the BB dollar.

Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! Same old Memphis State. Shady operation since they hired Dana Jerk. Tigers don't change their stripes.

OTOH While being a serial offender, Larry Brown can flat out coach and would be the guiding hand for Penny.
