I understand that Clemson is backing off on Arch Manning. Same reason that was speculated that we cooled off on Hunter. Too much Texas NIL money.

I know Coop doesn't have Peyton or Eli money, but Arch doesn't exactly come from skid row. Money is money. We all love it. But, when you come from a lot of it, maybe NIL money is not the main attraction. Silly of me to think it, I know.

We are in a new era and it's going to be really interesting to see how these kids handle balance performance with $.

Arch obviously has a pedigree and I'm sure his rating is deserved. He was gonna have a bulls-eye on him in any era. If it is determined he's getting those millions like a few others there is that extra piece of pressure.

I'm sure he'll do fine. Then again, Rattler for OU didn't.

Main attraction for a pro-style QB is Steve Sarkisian. No better mentor in college than Sark for a player like Arch Manning.

one thing i've learned in just over a half century of living that just because parents, grandparents, bothers and sisters have money does not mean they share even a dime. i know tons of parents who don't give there kids anything. famous people like Sting and Sally Fields won't leave a dime of their money to their kids and don't give them a dime. they tell their kids to make it on their own. so just because the mannings have shit tons of money, doesn't mean Arch sees a dime. maybe Arch wants a Lambo to drive and no way any manning relative will give him one as it's a waste of money, but if young Arch has $3MM in the bank, well he can buy his own. Never ever assume that how you would treat your kids is how someone else would treat theirs. I bet $ that NIL played a decent part for Arch. O/W why go to a school that cannot even win it's league let alone compete for a national title? Anotehr example is Julia Louis Dryfuss, her dad is a Billionaire, and she rakes in millions from seinfeld reruns and yet she does lean cuisines commercials because, one it's her dad's money not her's and two no matter how much money you have, there's always someone else with more and thus they can do and influence more so thus you need to get more. $$$ and more $$$ makes the world go round. and Arch went and got his own duckets.

if he can stay sober, he didn't work well as the HC at USC and we'll see how the pressure of UT effects him. plus, he's a head coach now and has less time to mentor qb's

Texas has a coach with a track record of NFL QBs and called plays in the NFL.

Also his brand could be huge as the guy that brings back Texas Football to the top. The Texas brand has been on life support for a while.
