I believe that the Cards missed a homegrown gem in Wells. He is a natural running back.

Wells only committed AFTER Radcliff accepted his scholly offer and it
was to late.

Besides, Walter Payton couldnt crack 100 yds behind this line.

Wells waited too long to commit for one. Plus, I think we had what we thought were better options at the time. In hindsight, would have loved to have had the kid and it looks like a miss but at the time I thought we recruited over him so to speak. That's the thing with recruiting. Sometimes you get kids that are supposed to be studs that don't pan out and sometimes you have low rated kids that turn out to be stars. I am happy that a local kid like Wells is doing well at WKU. Wish he were here.

Wales was hurt when Louisville was wanting a commitment. Louisville set up multiple therapy sessions for him to help Wales along with his rehab and he chose to blow them off.

I'll take Radcliff over Wales all day. I will admit Wales looked good against N Texas,Old Dominion, and Rice, not so good against LSU,Indiana,Vandy.
