The staffer involved had several stops along the way (including one with the NCAA). On the Alabama board there is little information beyond the article you posted so no one seems to have any idea why he was let go or what the internal review found so quickly. My sense is this whole sordid affair is about to get much bigger. You guys may have gotten lucky - you got your hit on day one. Imagine how the fans of the school that will get off to a great start only to have the bomb blow up on them February 1 will feel. A friend of mine who knows a lot more about basketball than I do told me tonight this could impact 50 or more schools.
