ACC vs SEC matchups today

Dan will get this figured out! Baseball is such a funny game. Best Teams have about a 70% winning percentage. You're going to lose games to teams, that are not better than you. " New grass on the field today boys, put me in coach, I'm ready to play."
We play on turf....

That NC State series was a bad matchup for NC State. They are loaded with left handed hitters. The pitchers (lefties)actually executed the game plan peppering the outside corner.

Just like the NC series was a bad matchup for Louisville. NC has destroyed lefties all year.

UK has a good staff, their ace is a legit pitcher. He locates all his pitches and changes speeds all the time. He is really good at this level.

FSU pitching faltered late against the Vols; the lesson to learn is all about falling behind in the count..FSU minimized its chance for a NC as a result.

They ended up catching the wrong end of a check swing. IMO the guy went and should have been ball game. Instead it goes the other way.

You are right pitching from behind is never good especially if you can’t throw offspeed stuff or locate when behind.

I hate Tennessee’s coach. The guy just complained and road the umps the whole game. Should’ve been tossed.

All 4 games so far have been won by the home team, and by 1 run, any question about that being an advantage has been answered emphatically here.

The missed check swing call may very well have costs NCST a NC. If I am interpreting correctly, the home team designation goes to the higher ranked team, something that historically favors the SEC.

Apologies again, but this tournament seems to be weighted in favor of the SEC. Check swing calls are totally up to one umpire’s discretion, but not surprising a game ending call was proven incorrect in replay that gave an SEC team extra life.

Not always but the consensus was UT #1, UK #2 and Texas A&M #3. UNC was the highest remaining ranked ACC team at #4. Clemson didn't make it past an unranked Florida team. Florida St. #8, NC St #10 and Virginia #12. #1 Tennessee was rewarded by having to play the highest ranked team, FSU at #8. However, if seeding held, it should come down to Tennessee vs UNC (didn't happen) and UK vs Texas A&M (still to be determined). There has always been a thought to reseed teams once they get to Omaha but probably won't happened.
