I'm pretty sure this was after Khalifa was physically cleared to practice with the team late last season. At one point Khalifa and Rodgers were both cleared to participate in full on practices.
Having a big man that can pass like this with the shooters we have coming in is huge. Makes the offense even tougher to stop. Plus Khalifa can hit the open 3 as well.
I have heard that some of CPK practices are as intense as actual games. This UL roster is about as deep and talented as any that I can recall, but having a big man capable of delivering assists would be a huge unexpected bonus for a team capable of competing for an ACC Championship.
I believe he hit 31% of 3's his final season at BYU. While not a great percentage it is good enough that teams can't sag

Plus, with Conwell, Wooley, and Mckneely all hitting over 40% from three point range and having Hadley at 38-39% with Mikel Brown winning the 3 point Mcdonalds American contest, this team is going to be absolutely deadly beyond the arc. Might be the best three point shooting team we've ever had on paper. Forgot the mention Kobe Rodgers shot 45% from three as well. Insane. Our backcourt is one of the best in the country.

His passing will spread teams out plus you add Brown passing it should be a tough offense to stop.
