Sure they do. Without it they are the United Kingdom. They've always been the UofK. They're just too lazy to say or market it.
Only for people with geographical issues. Not quite. They have UK registered. Not UofK. If you want to include the "of" you have to spell it out for them. On the other hand, ours is UofL as well as spelling it out. Feel free to use either. Hope this helps you better understand the difference.
