I’m talking about them driving and throwing up crap as a turnover, they suck st driving to the hoop.Ray being limited by fouls allowed Albany to destroy UofL on the glass. That is how the game turned. Ray has to stay on the floor.
ESPN says King had 0 turnovers and Adel had 2.

My problem with it is they usually pass up an uncontested shot (and they’re both good shooters) to take a contested one because they’re not quick enough - or have a good enough handle - to get by their defender.I’m talking about them driving and throwing up crap as a turnover, they suck st driving to the hoop.

I agree - balance as well. The only time he ever seems confident is shooting threes. His footwork is poor - he’s lucky he didn’t get called for traveling when he got trapped with 13 seconds left.I think King lacks the strength to play through contact. He seems to constantly be avoiding it, and he doesn't have great control in traffic when he's doing that.
He forces a lot of his offense, I think he's putting too much pressure on himself.

Already have one in McMahon! He has a nice quick release on his shot when he's set. I also agree, he looks solid around the 3 pt line. He's so young I hate to corner him into being a specialist but it would probably be in the team's best interest to have him as a 3 pt specialist.
What may have gone unnoticed is that King had 7 rebounds and Adel only 3. Both of these guys need to help rebound not just score points. We were out rebounded 52-37. That won’t bode well against bigger, physical teams.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that King be a three point specialist - only that he play to his current strengths within this roster and offense. He's supposed to be playing the 2 but plays like he is at the three. He obviously is capable of more than shooting - he just needs to pick better spots but, he's gotten way better about letting the game come to him from last year.Already have one in McMahon!
Especially if neither wants to make others on the team better thru their play.Deng is better due to a nod in athelitcism and confidence, but having them both on the floor at the same time gives you diminishing returns and is a detriment.
I agree with this but the real question is how will a player like King accept being moved to the bench? In years past, a coach would just do it and you accepted it. In today’s world, where it is me first, some kids react negatively. Adel is probably gone but I think we need King for next year. We wouldn’t be having these discussions if players bought into the team first attitude. I’m not saying he’s selfish, he just thinks we need him to score. We also need him to rebound and play defense.King and Adel are basically the same: 6'7" wings who hunt shots and think of defense and rebounding as after thoughts. Which is kind of ok if you have one of those guys on the court. Deng is better due to a nod in athelitcism and confidence, but having them both on the floor at the same time gives you diminishing returns and is a detriment.
We should have one of their spots lend minutes to more of a "dirty work" defender and rebounder. Perhaps start splitting minutes with Sutton? He should play more, if only for the mentality he brings as opposed to the King vs Adell shot hunters in tandem approach.
