ACC TOURNEY: LOUISVILLE VS VIRGINIA GAME THREAD- 9:30 PM ESPN2

It's games like this where I wish I had a couple grand I could afford to lose on a bet. Louisville could be 24 and 6 and ranked and they would still lose to Virginia.

But I'm a Cards fan who could never bet against my team, even when it's a 99 percent chance that Virginia will win once again.

The only win was when Jordan Nwora gunned his way to a victory over the Cavs. Even when we had a 4 point lead with a few seconds to go, we lost. One win since joining the ACC.

So I could make a large bet in Indiana of course, and win thousands of dollars if something happens tonight that happens all the time.

But I will be cheering for the impossible not caring about how much money I could make. Beating Virginia would be such a awesome thing to watch.

Until I see the final score and kick myself for not taking advantage of that sure thing.

We did beat UVA one other time on a last second Mangok Mathiang shot our first season in the ACC. But I don't blame you for not remembering because that was a good while back.

Little did we know then what a bane UVA would become to us. So it would be extra sweet to end their season though we all know the chances of that are slim.

So, if my extremely well-connected and reliable sources (local sports talk radio and free message boards) are correct the Cards will lose tonight to UVA by at least 50. The game will end around 11:30 PM and by 11:35 PM there will be a press conference to announce Kenny Payne as our next MBB head coach. Kenny will be flanked by World Wide Wes, Phil Knight, Coach K, John Calipari and Tom Jurich. After KP thanks everyone for this opportunity, WWW announces that if you’re not in the top 5 of the next ten year classes, he won’t even take your call. He also states that every member of Milt Wagner’s family have bought houses in Louisville. Phil Knight then announces that Nike is canceling contracts with every school and going all in on Louisville and will be paying all UL players $5 million per year for NIL. Coach K then announces that he is coming out of retirement to be KP’s top assistant because he wants to be part of something special. Calipari then announces his retirement as he knows he can never, ever beat KP and Louisville. Finally, TJ steps to the mic and says, “I’m back bitches!”.
Shortly after the presser, the NCAA announces any and all charges against UL have been dropped as you really can’t punish a dynasty!!!
Just remember…you heard it here first!

Well since Mike "Big Tourney" Pegues is undefeated so far in tournament games there is really only one thing for him and the team to do and that's......

To win the whole damn thing!! 😂🤣

As the charges are all announced as dropped, Katina comes out and starts twerking to Back That Ass Up

We need to run a play to get West some open 3's. This is where a top coach would recognize that West is confident and hitting the 3. Play him off the ball by having Ellis find some penetration and kick out or post Curry and have him kick out to West.

It's looking like luck or good fortune is going to be needed for the Cards to win. That's something the best Cards teams haven't had a lot of.

Got to put someone taller on Clark. West can stay with him but he cannot distract the shot.

This is Virginia so anything can happen.

West got a shot, it was just a bit too deep. I really wish I knew what it is about Virginia that they continually get the break they need or the shot they need to beat Louisville. It's unreal. You would think the law of averages would appear.

Hell that's how they won the title. Incredibly lucky break after lucky break.

I swear you could put the first team all American squad on the Cards and they would still lose to Virginia. It's simply uncanny how everything goes Virginia's way against Louisville.

And they play such tough physical defense and hardly get any fouls called on them. Go figure. They get to mug us and we can hardly touch them. Refs never see or calls their fouls. Disgusting.

It's called better defensive fundamentals. Coaching

If they can get away with it against Duke, it’s not fouling it’s good defense. Who knows maybe that’s what Mack envisioned. Either he couldn’t coach it or he didn’t have the right players. Either way, it’s a moot point.

Never made that adjument. Davis would've bothered him more I think.
He made some outstanding shots.
West our best defender couldn’t stop him so we tried Faulkner at 6-1, but he couldn’t keep him out of the lane. Nobody else on this team has the quickness.
