ACC not looking so good. Gotta say it.

Miami pasted by MSU. Florida State?! Lost by 20 to Xavier?

UVA barely won the other day, we didn't look all that hot against Jacksonville (which did not have Artis Gilmore and Pembrook Burrows - I know, different Jacksonville). ND - meh (losing after sweating past Princeton).

Duke and UNC so far really the only ACC teams with convincing wins, albeit against weak competition.

But so far, a weak showing by the ACC, in my view. I expected much more.

Fla St has no coach, Hamilton is horrible. ND & Brey won with smoke & mirrors IMO, overachiers that did well to go as far as they did. Miami lacked a point guard, they didn't really have a quality replacement for Rodriquez. UVA has a quality kid in Wilkins out with strep throat and their point guard is slumping. ACC can still place 2-3 teams in the final four.

The conference has looked really bad thus far. Virginia is more than likely going to lose. They are down 14 at the half. FSU, Notre Dame, and Miami lost earlier today. Wake Forrest lost on opening day. Virginia Tech too.

If things hold serve, the only teams left standing after today will be UofL, Duke, and UNC. The other 6 teams will have been eliminated if UVA gets beat.

Wake Forrest, Miami, FSU, Notre Dame, Virginia, and Virginia Tech all gone before the sweet sixteen? Didn't see that coming.

Not rooting for Florida over an ACC team but if they continue pounding UVA all I can say is good riddance to that type of garbage basketball. 17 points in 23 minutes.

I realize we can't beat them but you can count on a Tony Bennett early NCAA exit like death and taxes.

Yep. No other way to put it. Not a good showing by the ACC...although that has zero bearing on my enjoyment of the tourney and hope for The Cards.

I have to agree. Once the tournament starts I couldn't care less how teams not named Louisville are doing. I mean it's nice if other ACC teams win but I only really care how UofL does in all honesty. My enjoyment of the tourney only goes way down if UofL loses.

I was just thinking the same thing. Just awful basketball to watch. It's amazing that the Cards struggle against them.

Pull for all ACC teams for the most part but if Virginia loses so be it. They're the Sherwin Williams of basketball programs!

I honestly don't get all of the conference sac hanging - whether it's ACC basketball or sec football. Would I rather an ACC team win? I guess but at the end of the day - unless it's UofL - who cares?

I only root for the ACC to pump up our SOS. Never have understood the "root for your conference" rationale.

Wow. Florida lost to Vandy thrice and they put the wood to Virginia.

Just goes to show the tourney is a crapshoot.
At the risk of sounding like a graduate from the Redundant School of Redundancy - it's matchups plain and simple.

You know you're going to get a post from you know who about how an ACC win benefits U of L, but that's the university. We as fans don't really get a benefit. We earn our keep.

As of this morning, there are more SEC teams left in the tourney. Let that sink in.....I know I know, the weekend isn't over.

The only teams that are supposed to be left in theory are the 1-4 seeds in each region. With that said, FSU is the only team that has let the conference down.

It's matchups and other than UK and UF, the SEZ is still a joke.

Started to say this yesterday, but I was waiting for a mojo move by UVA. Not.

The ACC is looking just like $EC FB. Two or three really good teams, and the rest are equal to everybody else's middle-of-the-pack teams.

The have become legends in our own minds perhaps??

It is all about coaching Notre Dame and Virginia do the same thing every year. They play tuff all year because they are familiar with their opponents but when they have to prepare for a team they don't know they lose. They both have a good year in the tournament but most of the time they fail.

Is it possible Arkansas and South Carolina do the unthinkable today?

The ACC has been terrible. A bad look for all the talking that was done about this being the best league.

3 Big Ten teams in the Sweet 16.
