There has been talk of the ACC discussing the idea of moving to 3-divisions. This would allow Notre Dame to compete for a division title and possibly advance to the ACC Championship game. So, how would this be set up?

North - Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Boston College, Louisville, Notre Dame
Midland - Virginia, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Clemson
South - FSU, Miami, North Carolina, NC State, Duke

The question would be is how would Notre Dame going to work? They agreed to play 4 ACC schools per season, so to do that they would have to rotate through each division otherwise they would only play Pitt, Cuse, BC, and Louisville every year. So, if ND would rotate to the Midland Division, then one of the Midland schools would have to rotate to the North for one season. How would you choose that, draw out of hat? That school would be pissed, because they would miss out on their opportunity to get to play ND.

I just don't see how this is going to work out. It's too complicated.

Here is my wish for the league moving forward:

Move to 3 Five Team Divisions.Add UC to the North Division to get to 15 full time football playing schools. Change the rules for Championship Game to the two highest ranked teams in the CFP Poll.Allow Notre Dame to be eligible for the Championship Game. (This would increase the value $$$ of the title game and make it more interesting)
In basketball you would have 16 teams, with the addition of UC, so you could go to a two division arrangement.
