When we first hired Kenny Payne, I was certain he would be able to bring in talent. My only real concern was how would he handle in-game coaching, adjustments, the nuances of the game, etc.
One thing I was worried of was what happens if it wasn’t successful. I was thinking middling .500 teams, 8/9/10 seeds as being “unsuccessful”.
What Kenny Payne has done is display mind boggling incompetency. How can someone who has been around the game their entire life be so bad at this job? It’s spectacular how bad he has been. Now we have national media questioning if this is the worst hire in the HISTORY of college basketball.
I’m not sure how many games he will last this year, but I’ll be elated when it’s over.
