Way to go Chris Mack and Kenny Payne. The unfathomable roster construction and failure to adequately teach these young men has led to this dubious distinction. UofL basketball - a proud tradition and top revenue producing program in the country - now finds itself in the 300s in KenPom rankings. Just a mind-blowing feat.

It still doesn’t make any sense. Take Maryland. Coaching turmoil last year with an interim halfway through the year. Complete turnover in coaching staff and roster. Their roster -
Lost 3 of their 4 top scorers from a bad team.
Added 2 freshman (1 ranked 204, 1 NR)
Added a handful of low profile transfers (from the likes of St. Francis, Charlotte, etc.).

They are 13-7 and ranked in the 30s kenpom.

2 wins and ranked the lowest in the history of rankings for Power 5 in KenPom is unexplainable.

Yep. I blame coaching on this as well. Its not like these players are years apart from each other in talent. They are all 18, 19 or 20 year olds. Most of the UofL players are 4 star recruits. There is no reason why UofL could not have 8 wins by now.

I believe that this is the one year anniversary of the separation from Chris Mack. Since then, the record is 4-28. And, no, I’m not saying we should have stuck with Mack.
