The 2021 audited UofL Athletics financials have been released.
Here is a high level summary of Revenue:
1. Operating Revenues from "Sports" (mainly FB/MBB ticket sales)were $39.7m (down 35% from 2020)
2. Operating Revenues from "Other" (media contract, parking, concessions, sponsor deals) were $22.7m (down 9% from 2020)
3. Non-Operating Revenues (mainly gifts and contributions) were $36.5m (down 3% from 2020)
Total Revenues were $98.9m (down from $124.3m in 2020)
Total Revenues were $126.5m in 2019.
Note: It appears that UofL Athletics received a contribution of $9.2m from UofL. This amount is included in the Non-Operating Revenues, above.
Report NOTES: "The most significant change being a decrease in gifts of $12.1 million offset by increased contributions from related entities of $10.0 million. The Association received $5.2 million in COVID-19 relief funds from the University to supplement some of the revenues lost from concession sales and event parking, expenses for quarantine, social distancing, and expanded cleaning of facilities. These funds are reflected in contributions from related entities."
