Per his mother, Sam Snyder has decided to open his recruitment and decommit from Louisville.
"Sam decommitted from Louisville tonight," Janelle Snyder informed cardinalsports.com "That was a very hard call for him to make."
The three star tight end just wrapped up an official visit with Baylor this weekend but has not committed to the Bears.
"The (official visit) was absolutely amazing though!," said Snyder.
Snyder was offered by Baylor on November 18th. He has already received an in-home visit from Baylor off-field assistant coach Evan Cooper who recruits the Florida area. He also received an in- home visit from Missouri tight ends coach Joe Finley. The Tigers have not offered yet but are still in contact.
FSU and Michigan have also expressed interest in the Fleming Island tight end and may visit him at home as early as Monday evening. Rutgers offered Snyder on November 28th.
Snyder plans to sign with the school of his choice by December 19th.
Louisville is now down to eight commitments in the 2019 class just two weeks from the early signing period. Losing Snyder hurts. The 'Cards lost Kemari Averett due to rape allegations and Mickey Crum to graduation. Jordan Davis is the only scholarship tight end on the roster for 2019.
