Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan, who is coming off back-to-back Final Four appearances, will retire after next season, he announced Monday.

Ryan, 67, said in a statement that he will coach this season and then step down. His hope is that longtime assistant Greg Gard succeeds him in Madison.

Yeah I saw this... He's an older guy. Seems the old school types are going to be a thing of the past. They've had a hell of a team the last few years for sure.

Yeah the old guard will mostly be stepping down in these next several years it seems. Guys like K, Boeheim, Williams, and eventually Pitino. These are some large coaching shoes to fill for sure. Legends of the coaching game.
