Weekend series against Memphis

Chance to make up some ground as UCF, who leads the conference at 6-0 plays USF who is second at 4-2. Cards are at 2-1 and are already 2.5 games back, although it is early.

Cards going with Funkhouser (5-1) on Friday, Ruxer (5-1) on Saturday and Kidston (2-0) on Sunday. Friday's game appears to be the toughest as Memphis starts a JR LHP who is 4-1 and has an era of 0.43.

Cards seem to struggle against lefties.

History note which I never would have expected. Cards are 25-55 against Memphis all-time. Never knew that Memphis had a decent baseball program.

Baseball news is fragmented,outdated, poorly organized. A true baseball fan appreciates box scores and up-to-date highlights. There is information that is over a month old which requires a waste of time trying to find something to read.
