Vandy game

Josh Rogers is pitching (3.45 ERA) against Walker Buehler (1.49 ERA). Cards jump on him for three in the top of 1st. Chitty bang-bang hit a two run dinger to cap it off. Vandy has bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the 1st.
Ouch - GS - 4-3 Vandy.

In the top of 3rd, Cards play small ball. Sturgeon .doubled; Kay sacrificed him to third; Gardner singled. 4-4






Not happy, the Cards went on to score three more. Cards 7-4. Rogers gave up a two run dinger in the bottom of the 3rd. Alphin (0.93 ERA) came in and reired the side.

Cards 7-6 after 3. Miller (3.71 ERA) now on the mound for the Commondoors.

Cards score two in the 4th aided by two errors and two wild pitches. Cards 9-6.

Doors strand two. After four, Cards 9-6.

Kilichowski (1.29 ERA) 1-2-3s the Cards in the 5th.

Harrington (4.85 ERA) comes in for Cards and Doors strand two more.

Philley in to pitch.
Vandy loads em up with no outs in the 6th: IF single, walk, error. Sparger is now pitching. Escaped with one run scored. After six, 9-7 Cards.

Cards add two in the 8th. 11-7 Guess what. It's Burdi time.

Burdi goes racist in the 8th: KKK

Cards go out meekly in 9th. Three more out for the exit Doors.

Single, K,K, gound out.

Some really nice road wins for the Cards this year ... sweeping 3 at Houston. And now at Vandy. This makes up a bit for the losses to IU and UK.

This is a real nice win.
